Title: Not seen so many bombers in MA for a long time

WTG Hitech, its brought bombers out from being hanger queens into being used in MA again.

Like/Dislike the new bombsight should be irrelevant, more bombers = good.

Yeah I noticed that too.  It has become fashionable once more to run real bomber missions again. Great fun as attacker and defender last night.

I just hope it lasts. I haven't seen any B17s since the B24 arrived, so I'm hoping we are seeing more than just a fad.

yep WTG HTC! great to see all the bombers, my only "gripe" if there is one, is i watched 3 b24 formations intentionally dive bomb in a 20deg dive from about 2k.


you'd think with the new bomb sight they wouldnt have to do that.

Ive flown buffs more since the B24 has been released than I have fighters. I just love it!  Guys who are good at attacking buffs using slashing attacks is a real challenge shooting them down. Bombing seems about the same to me.

  Hurricanes attacking your 6 while trying to use bombsights are no fun :P

hehe i think its cute how some of the people in this thread didnt want anything to do with the new bomb sight, and now... Abracadabra!

They love it!

Never the less, love is better than hate. :)


I too agree with the new sight being a fantastic move by HTC.

Bombers and the missions they are flown in are fun again for all. wtg.

Maybe yes...maybe no....but the new calibration proceedure will keep more players in bombers than we have seen since the  Original "Calibration system" was implimented. Of this i am fairly certian.

I love the new calibration system. Prior to this, all my bomber points came from low level strat porking. I couldnt hit the Grand Canyon from 25K now I can actually fly for an hour, calibrate, and celebrate rather than scream at the PC and ditch the formation.

Sounds like a cop-out, but it was frustrating as all get out to waste that kind  of time and miss the target 9 outta 10 times, now it is fun again.

As far as the guns go, I dont know if its my new video card (installed same day as 2.01) or something HTC did, but I actually have hit attacking fighters  and earned a few kills, something I also rarely pulled off before.

With new calibration it gives more people the will to make it to a target at an altitude of 10k to 15k and still make a hit, with tons of fighters ganging your still bombers. It also has increased the large amount of bomber missions, which Im extremly happy with. I have gone back to my bomber roots now and ditched fighters completly. :aok

lancs will only be "fixed" if night returns to MA so expect them to be broken forever

i suck  big time bombing, but with new calibration ,i hit all 3 FHs from 15k, Bombers are more dangerous and usefull now, more bombers in arena more big canons fighters

New bomb calibration is lame. Last version was lame. Give us the old bombsight back. :D
