I haven't been able to fly much since the release of the new planes.  I'm just wondering if the B-24 could've made it back in that condition.

Way to stick it out, Truekill.

The AH B-24 could, if you didn't yank the stick too much.  HTC did a good job of modelling the weak Davis wing, so if you pull too many G's the wing will rip off.

That's nothing... I was at 20k, reduced throttle and dove down at maybe 45 degrees. My speed got to where I had no more down elevator and the nose was coming up again. So I pulled up to level out (gently mind you) and lost my wings!! So I was thinking ... Hrm... would I spin on a totally wierd axis if I pulled up with no wings as the fulcrum? So I pulled up, and my elevators promptly popped off and fluttered away lol, then my stabs (all of them) popped off. See attached pic (moments before impact)
