Went see the movie 'Ray' today with the lil' lady. A very good movie. Jamie Foxx did an amazing job as Ray Charles. I forsee an Oscar for his performance. Anywho, it's highly recommended.

just from seeing the previews, i never knew that Ray was married.. did he ever have any kids?

Lol, he had 12 kids. Let's just say Ray liked the ladies. :) The good thing is he divided his fortune amongst them before he passed away so that there would be no fighting among them.

Ray was also addicted to herorin for 20 years before he got clean. He wasn't a saint, but he had a very interesting life story and was an amazing talent.

If "clean" means a bottle of Gin a day that screwed up his liver and killed him, then yea he went clean.  Still, he certainly was an amazing charcter and a great artist.  :)

Racist or not (irrelevant to this thread) he is a good actor and this was a great movie.
