Just some info for Texas veterans. If you have your private license and want to get your instrument/commercial/multi/cfi/cfii/mei ratings look into the hazlewood act. It covers tuition for Texas public colleges and any public college with an aviation program. So basically you get all the training for free. Mine when done will total almost 45k. Down side is that I think there are only 2 public colleges in Texas that have a pilot program. 1 in Kileen and 1 here in Houston.
Just a heads up for you Texas vets.
