Post here if you noticed a big drop. Mine was at least -50%, was down in the 30s; not smooth at all.
Usually at 60, so I think something may be up with the map. I love the map but I think there's a problem that needs to be looked at...

Near A13 (Naha airfield) there are three historical airfields very near each other: the other fields are Machinato and Yanabaru. Naha is the biggest one and it has very many 3D objects in the field area. All the fields are HTC's defaults.
I have also added there three HTC's default big cities: two of those are as Naha town and one is as Shuri town situating very near Naha. And of course all those fields have their capturing towns near them. I have placed all those towns/cities as historical targets to US bombers and jabos: the last and biggest battles on 1945 were just in that southern area of Okinawa main isle!
My frame rates are dropping to 30 in this area, too, but I don't have very good videocard or computer: ATI Radeon 9000 Pro, 1.5 GB processor with 512 RAM memory.
My friends who have better equiptments says that there are no problems with their frame rates. I am normally upping from the other airfields, for ex. A10 (Yontan) and A11 (Kadena) or try to fight over the sea near Naha area. Before I have a better video card... ;)
Oboe, tell me your computer's info, please! And have anyone else these frame rate problems?

I am experencing a pretty severe FR drop when over the dirt as well. P4 2.6 Ghz Geforce FX5200.
FR are fine over water and generally okay as well in a furball (over the water). Normally running mid 40's to low 30's. when over land drops to the teens.
Only getting this on this CT map so far.
BTW, had a blast in the CT last night. We need more of those nights :)
cheers,
RTR

Same as RTR, I usually run at or near my refresh max of 72, and no worse than mid 40's in a heavily bombed/smoking base. On this map, but only in certain places like the SW of the island where there are 3 bases and a city in view, it can get as low as the mid teens.
P4 2.8, FX5950, 1G ram
Oh yeah, stop sneaking up on folks RTR!! :D

LOL sorry Grits, couldn't help myself.
It's the way you wiggle when you are all excited:eek:

In the worst spots I'm at about 18-19 fps when I first takeoff, but as soon as I'm in the air it goes up to mid 30s. Once the feet are wet It goes up to mid 50s. Range is all the way up to the 3 mile mark on the slider for detail. At the smaller fields I get about 29-31 fps at takeoff. Thats with Vsync on, 75hz refresh rate and sliders in AH about 80% towards max detail, running at 512 on textures.

My computer's specs are:
P4 2.8 Ghz,
1024 Ram
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, 128 Mb
Win XP home
Think I noticed a FR drop in the MA now too, after that last patch.
In fact, right now I suspect it has to do with the Ki.84. I wonder if the animated controls draw something away from the FR?
-
Wow! Quit yer complaining! :D Mine drops as low as 7 and mostly bounces between 9-20s. It might jump up to the 30s or 40s now and then, but it don't last. :(

Oh forgot my specs:
Commodore
CPU: MOS 6510, 1MHz
RAM: 64K
OS: ROM BASIC
external 170K floppy drive
