Title: So how's 2.01?

Just thought I'd stop by and let everybody know I'm still here, and I wanted to ask how 2.01 is working out. Good? Any major changes to DM or FM? How's the Ki?

Seriously it's the very same game dynamic in the MA , the environement more pretty that's all.

DM is more detailled (note that a  burst of hyzooka as still the same effect :))

HT pulled all the Focke Wolf's after it was revealed that Kurt Tanks is gay and voted for Kerry...

KI84 is a slightly faster Spit IX, that turns worse at high/meduim speeds due to a very heavy elevator. After the flaps come out at 167mph it can just hang with a Spit V.  Deck top speed 323mph, max speed at alt 388mph.  Climb is 4000fpm. There is no wep.

Overall its a capable fighter.

If the Ki-84 is a "slightly faster Spit IX", then how come I've gone over 394 in level flight in my IX, and I've only gotten to about 383 in the 84?

If anything, I'd say it's a slightly *slower* Spit IX.

I don't think it's heavy on the elevator, in fact the elevator feels rather light, because it's a bit too small.

It looks good, I took a few months off and have been trying it out again.  Overall, not bad.  Now that patch 2 is out, even more so.

But dont you worry, despite all the new gvs and planes, all you'll ever see is Spits and La7s  :p

Its a few mph faster down low where it counts.  Plus it can maintain that speed advantage without WEP, when the spit 9 wep is gone its more like 10-15 mph slower.  So the Ki84 is a slightly faster spit 9.  Now with patch 2 it rolls better also I think. Hopefully another patch will look at the elevator control issues some have brought up. :)

IIRC Nakajima designed Ki-84's elevator heavier.
Currently, Pyro simulates it well, I think.
