Hail all AH loonies(me included),
A marketing scheme to get people to sign up once the 2 weeke beta thing is over.  As soon as the 2 weeks is up. Post a new version, and in the new version have maybe 3 or 4 new planes. 2 variants and 2 new.  Kind of like those TV adds, "Buy the Ginsu 2000 now and get the BONUS handy dandy 4 piece Mother in-law Disintegrator!"

Just a thought.

Strickly my opinion (yah, yah, they are like prettythangholes, everyone has one) but I think they would be more successful if they concentrated on 1 or 2 ground vehicles that are driveable (rudder pedals for steering, JS forward for forward gear) with anti-aircraft guns mounted on them...now you're talking breaking the friggin' server because I know of at LEAST, at a MINIMUM, of 25 people that would join tomorrow if vehicles were in the game.
