Title: ATI Catalyst 4.11 Released

I very seldom point out when a new video card driver is released, but this one has a bug fix pertaining to users of AGP based Radeon cards with 256MB of video ram.
They corrected a memory leak which should help performance.

See http://www.ati.com for the new driver and please avoid the Catalyst Control Center.

4.12 betas optimized for HL2 were released today also.

these drivers are great.....recommend them to anyone that plays HL2. Hell they are even quiet good for AH.

ATI stopped doing drivers for 98-ME a while back

Just win2k-xp for MS now

i did my time with ME. (5 years) it can be stable, just shut off EVERYTHING in the background. and i mean everything but systray and explorer. no v-scan or anything else. ME is really a crappy bandaid update for '98:rolleyes:

there is a 4.11 cat for win98/me over at guru3d   http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?id=18  , there was talk of them stopping , but there were many unhappy people

EDIT : Seems they are for Radeon X300 to X800

Guess they won't specificly back-track them for older cards  grrrrrrrrr   lol

Whats the deal with the 4.11 cats ?? they work or not ??

I'm running a 9600pro /win98se/ and the 4.7 cats evrything seams to be working good except when im in a huge flock of buffs , so im at the if it aint broke dont fix it frame of mind .

The Windows 98/ME drivers come out once every 3 or 4 months.  ATI does not update them like they do for XP/2K.

im runnin the 4.12 beta's rosco. they work fine , no issues with them. I just upgraded a cpu so im not sure if they are better or not . 38

i'll give the 4.12's a try when they go gold  .. as for now my crucial radeon 9600pro is kinda picky driver wise so i'll stay with the 4.7's

I gained 10FPS in HL2 and COunter Strike Source, howver AH2 still runs like *****
