... dumbness.
So... I have CNN running in the background when, alluhsudden, this grating noise starts squawking from my television set.
It's the kind of noise.... that particular way of talking, almost shouting, trying to muscle its way into my conscience like a Righteous Jackhammer. I've heard it before...
Perhaps due to slipping ratings, it seems CNN has replaced Aaron Brown with Hannity's alter ego. I didn't catch his name. Aaron Brown was sometimes gratingly nuanced, but he never ever tried to start ***** with me.
This new dude (and I didn't listen to what he was saying) was acting like he was trying to pick a fight.
"ARGH BLARGH ERRRG HAFFFFFFFFASLE!"
"I am PISSED OFF and YOU SHOULD BE TOO!"
That's the thing about right-wing radio. I'll try to get into it, but I'm quickly overwhelmed by the sense that the person is SHOUTING at me. Clearly upset about something, but I've lost track of the 'something' by then.
I dunno... prolly just me. I like argument as much as the next guy. Even better if it's reasoned. But.. You gonna freaking yell at me? Fer chrissakes, why do people submit themselves to that? Does it get their adrenaline pumping or something?
It's ridiculous.
Christ... pipe down.

DRRRRRRR TRRRRK RRRR JRRRRRRRRRBS!!!

lol... yeah... I guess it got my adrenaline pumping....
That's some powerful watermelon - those screeching talking heads.

Who is this new CNN person?

Didn't catch his name...

Aaron Brown reminds me of my grandmother.

tweety.. I think the basic difference is that liberals want to be everyones mommy... they don't feel people can make it on their own and so need to be clothed and fed and taken care of forever. they want everyone to pay for it so that they won't have to look at it.
conservatives feel that people are very capable if given the chance... They feel that handouts without responsibility do more harm thatn good...
On a global scale..rather than a UN food mission they feel that if they knock out the leader that is keeping the people down then the people can prosper and take care of themselves. conservatives feel that there is no real dignity in handouts and it corrupts people to recieve them without the attendant responsibility.
habitat for humanity was a conservative aproch where it used donated time and goods and required that the people be married and working at some sort of job no matter how low paying... the people also had to invest their time in the building of their house...
now, liberals and feds have gotten ahold of the program and made any qualifications or work requirements pretty much null and void. They have taken the pride out of it in my opinion but we will see. Under the old program the houses were well kept and the people made the low interest loan payments like clockwork... some for the first time in their lives...
I fear that we are turning it into government slums filled with drug addicts, pushers and hookers.
I would gladly donate time and material to the old program but will fight having one penny extorted from me in taxes for the new.

Interesting analysis, Rude.
But I was talking about guys on the teevee. Not what what they tried to screech at me, but how they screeched.
I do appreciate that the subject managed to eke out seven paragraphs from you. That is a Rude record - however out to lunch they were.

Dude... that was Lazs...

And I am tweety?
-
I think I know who you are talking about. He is loud, abnoxious agressive to his guests and has no clue how to pronounce foreign names.. Its like Foxnews, which is why I dont watch that channel, but its on CNN and more left slanted...
Is this him?

American definition of liberal is ****ed up. In everywhere else in the world Lazs would be prime example of a LIBERAL.

If people on TV are trying to start fights with you go to the hospital.

mora... a rose by any other name..
I may be one by world standards but I don't think so... the brits liberals are even worse than ours. Most countries it seems that liberalism and socialism go hand in hand.

I bet if he takes his time and throws some quick right hand jabs, he can take anyone on the tv..

to be liberal is to be tolerant or open-minded, to favour freedom over control.

He was a King 5 News jockey here in the PNW for years before going major league in the late 80's. I think Bill Gates modeled his looks and attire after him.

mora... I still don't think I would be considered a liberal in most countries. In some I would problyu not be a person whose political views could be defined using the totaly left leaning political climate of that country. Japan maybe.. But no way could I live in that place. Many countries define liberal as the more centrous. I am not centrous. In allmost every case tho... political liberalism is forced by large government controling aspects of my life that I feel are none of their business.

NASH, right wing radio??? CNN??? Did I read you correctly? I always thought CNN stood for Clinton News Network.
