Yes - past tense though. I was never much of a player, but used to go to the televised snooker tournaments local to me here in the south. (Most are up north) I even met Cliff Thorburn (Canadian, and world champion 1980) and Terry Griffiths (champ 1979).  Also Bill Werbeniuk, who used to drink about 15 pints during a match. :lol He claimed it was to stop his arm from trembling. He managed to convince the taxman that he needed it for his game, and got tax relief on his lager purchases!:lol

I'm a fan. Is there a club for us, with T-shirts and whatnot?

No. I went to the Benson & Hedges at Wembley a few times, and to another tournament in Reading hosted by different tobacco companies each year. The World championship is the Embassy World at the Crucible in Sheffield, where Dowding's from. But that's about 250km from here and I never went.

i played years ago,intresting game.

a snooker table is bigger and the pockets are smaller than a regular pool table, it really sharpens up your pool game.

Quite correct, which is why the Brits trounce the Yanks at pool. I couldn't believe how big those American pool table pockets were - 5" I believe, compared with 3" for snooker table pockets. Still, pool needs to be made easy so that Americans can play it. :rofl

Difficult but very enjoyable when you start getting a feel for it.

wow, O'Sullivan sure got his bellybutton kicked today. :)

Hope there will be a final tomorrow, cause if Higgins wife delivers the baby before or during the final he will hop on the first plane home to recive and forfit the game.

english pool is much harder than american pool too, even though it is a much smaller table.
