Greetings All,
I've made a speed chart (http://www.netaces.org/ahplanes/japan/Ki-84Speed.pdf) and a climb rate chart (http://www.netaces.org/ahplanes/japan/KI84Climb.pdf) for the Ki-84. These charts are based on plane testing conducted off-line with 0% fuel burn. Each chart shows the performance with 25% fuel load and 100% fuel load. Note that the climb data is with the default auto-speed setting which is actually only the best climb speed at sea level.
I've also added this data to the speed (http://www.netaces.org/ahplanes/comparisons/speed.htm) and climb (http://www.netaces.org/ahplanes/comparisons/roc.htm) java aplets.

The Ki-84 does seem to be one of the fastest of the slow planes, with its best performance under 7,500'
Comprable to the current Spit IX and 205, IMO.

Actually, I find it much too slow... only 515km/h @SL?
That can't be right...

hmm, can't keep up with a wepped Nikki below 7,000? Where, oh where is the low level speed demon of Airwarrior that ruled everything below 10k, with the exception of 'Stangs at some alts?
