Title: Problem zooming the map and moving head position

Yesterday I put another 512mb of RAM in my system and replaced my GeForce4 4600 with a Radeon 9800 Pro.  I downloaded and installed the Catalyst 4.11 drivers.

What is happening in AH is that whenever I use the Insert, Home, Page Up, Delete, End, Page Down or Arrow keys AH2 pauses for about a second.  If I hold the key down it will then pan or zoom smoothly, but each press incurrs the 1 second stutter.  If I use my Cougar to send the head movement key press there is no stutter.

Any ideas?

on the off chance this is what's causing it (what with tha new vid card in particular) make sure hardware sound acceleration is not cranked to full, if it is take it down a notch (or 2).

I recall something similar when i first got this new pc with the 9700 pro.

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately it didn't work.

I'm going to try reinstalling AH.  I vaguely remember seeing something about this before.

USB keyboard by chance?

If it works via stick I find it hard to believe its AH....

Yes, cut down the acceleration.

Click START   then RUN  then DXDIAG, click return.
