Once again the people of this great country we live in (usa) had to be exposed to another member of the Canadien House of Commons, (CAROLINE PARRISH) acting like a fool, when after making idiotic comments about the President of the United States, she pulls out a George W. Bush doll and stomped on it. Of course all in front of the TV Cameras. Well
PM Paul Martin who removed her from her duties after he called the act as "Unacceptable". Well... the only thing I have to say, to the people in Canada who think and act like this so called elected official is, they should take a few minutes of each day, kneel down on their knees, pray to their GOD of choice and thank him for parking them right next door TO THE BIG GUY!!!!
-
If I had my way, elected officials would stomp on anything that moves. Including eachother.
Now.... about you...
Paid by Fox? Or infiltrating this BBS on some personal jihad spurned by the outrage of having to suffer through a conservative white house, a conservative congress, a conservative senate and a conservative supreme court?
What exactly is your problem?

Is it that time of the year again in Canada? Another crazy female canadian legislator or govt official making an arse of herself because of W..
Gotta say I do find it funny that she prolly called Bush a moronic idiot while she was performing a pseudo voodoo ritual against a plastic W doll in the canadian parlinment on live television...
Anybody got a link to the clip?:
:aok

Some of the best people I have known are Canadian. But Canada has its proportional share of self absorbed nutjobs.

Just as any country does Yeager. See that "We're sorry" website, Michael Moore, etc.
Good move by Martin, and balsy, considering his party cant really afford to lose seats.

Well.... it wasn't live TV. It was a skit, for a comedy TV show, parodying past remarks she's gotten into trouble for. But if you give me a few days, I'll convert the clip to black and white, and dub in the soundtrack of the psycho shower scene as she throws the doll down and steps on it.

She was not booted from caucus for stomping on the GWB doll. It was for her comments she made regarding the Prime Minister later in an interview. I think the stomping would have been ignored (as usual) as just another jab at the american government if that was all she had done.
From the National Post
Prime Minister Paul Martin made the decision Thursday after Parrish's latest outburst, which took direct aim at the Liberal leader and his closest advisers. "I cannot, as leader of our party and the government caucus, tolerate behaviour that demeans and disrespects others," Martin said.
"It is unacceptable."
Parrish's cardinal sin appears to have less to do with her repeated, undiplomatic outbursts against the George W. Bush White House than her comments on the prime minister himself.
"If he loses the next election and he has to resign, I wouldn't shed a tear over it," Parrish said Wednesday in an interview with The Canadian Press.
"I have absolutely no loyalty to this team - none."
Her ejection from Liberal ranks reduces Martin's tenuous minority in the House of Commons to 134 Liberal seats.
The Conservatives hold 99 seats, the Bloc Quebecois 54 and New Democrats 19.
Parrish becomes the second Independent in the Commons.
Parrish's ejection was precipitated by another round of public Bush bashing.
With the president preparing to make his first state visit to Ottawa at the end of the month, Parrish taped a piece with the CBC comedy show This Hour Has 22 Minutes.
In the skit - which is to air Friday but has already appeared on CBC news programs and been requested by some U.S. networks - Parrish stomps a Bush doll under her booted heal.
When fellow parliamentarians, including some Liberals, criticized her behaviour, the veteran MP for Mississauga, Ont., let loose Wednesday.
Parrish said she won't be silenced and that efforts by Martin to do so will backfire.
"After what they've put me through and lots of my colleagues, they can all go to hell," she said. "But he's not going to control me, so all he's going to do is end up looking weak."

No problem here...however...I don't no if you realize this but the election is over... perhaps you and all of your liberal buddies,, Steisand, Baldwin, Penn, et al...can all move into the same neighborhood somewhere in Canada and make John Kerry your neighborhood watch commander

actually, bush getting stomped on is the least that the comedy show in question has done to the sitting president, or prime minister for that matter.
