the site I found everything on is in Italian so I had to use a translator to find some info on it, but translators on the internet do things word for word and doesnt quite make a whole lot of sense.
"It blots C.205 Veltro Series III (M.M.92219)
1, Squadron, 1. Group Hunting, Republican National Aeronautics
Reggio Emilia, ITALY, May 1944
Personal aircraft of the Magg. Adrian VISCONTI"
- I think its the 1st Group, 1st Squadron, Pilot Adrian Visconti, Italy 1944

part of the translation talks about the pilot
"The Magg. Adrian Visconti, Ace of the Aeronautical Direction before and Republican National dell.Aeronautica then, utilizz?l C. 205 Veltro. in the course of 1944, to defense of skies dell.Italia center-northerner, obtaining numerous aerial victories. In particular with Veltro. it they have been confirmed l.abbattimento of two P38 Lightning. and of as much P47 Thunderbolt., victories all obtained between 3 January of 1944 and the 30 you open them of the same year."

So I assume he flew against the allies

My question for you is how do you prevent the default artwork from showing through??

When i try to block it out it still shows up as an odd colour?

Do either of you have any colour photos of other 205s in service. i'll like to do one but cant find a subject.

Thanks

i just noticed that the ah 205 is a different shape to the photographed 205...maybe its an illusion.. but the fin looks all wrong. and the air intake looks to long in the ah vertion.. just to mention 2..also the wing roots look a bit hokey..

There is a file called c205art, it has all the art on it that shows up on the side. color that bmp all one color and find its index number. Create a .txt file called c205art_a and put the index number in it then save it in the folder. It will make everything transparent.
There may also be a file called c205_a.bmp, I didnt look. If there is it will have black with white where the art shows up on the c205art file. If there is a c205_a.bmp then just color everything black and it will make the art transparent.
Either way works

Did not see that, did a google search for 205's and there wasnt a wide selection to choose from. Ill just use my skin for a map then.

Raptor --- It looks as if the number and tri-color flag are a bit too far from the cockpit. Look at the reference drawings and pictures, then look at your skin. You'll see a big difference.

I love it, Raptor.  I've been using the 205 most of the time lately...hope to use your skin before I get bored & switch back to the 109's.  :)

Using Paint Shop Pro, after you change the file to 256 color select the dropper tool and move it over the color you want to be transparent. the color should show up below the color tap to the right by an i.
