-
I did too, only I fed mine braunswager (sp), it too died....:rofl

Tried a couple of times. Hell.... Sea Monkeys survived longer than they did.
-
What part of "fly" did you children not understand?
Around here, the bug-eating plant is the pitcher plant. Here is a whole field of them. It was a nice place to camp~ not a mosquito in sight!

I guess it is inevitable that as kids we all killed those kinds of things, I know I did, and my kids do too. Our pet graveyard is encroaching into the yard.
-
lol Hawklore.

Hey! I did the Sea Monkeys thing again1 year ago. This time they lived...I guess you need to be at least 30 to be able to grow them.
They lived so well that I got fed up with those ugly critters after 3 weeks...they ended up feeding the goldfish.

My daugher thinks we have a pet graveyard in the yard.
To date it only contains 1 siameese fighting fish that she wouldnt let me feed to the turtles.
The rest. including a lizard, several fish, a bird and a couple of cats first were carefully wrapped in a wardrobe of black plastic, temporaily placed in a large green sarcophagus before being transported to that great graveyard known as the county landfill.
Only the Dog may end up getting buried in the yard.
but never the cats.
Cats are little more then disposable commodities and should be treated as such
-
Ours has 3 turtles, 1 betta, assorted other fish, snakes, birds and lizards (the last three category are cat victims). I quit burying larger animals in the yard about 10 years ago when I hit a cache of dead dogs in plastic bags in the yard of a house I was installing a pond in.

Ive had the same venus flytrap for 3 years now =). Have an arowanna, not sure on spelling, have cinder blocks to keep it in, bunch of other fish, and 2 dogs. No pet graveyard except a bird.

Feeding meat to Venus Fly Traps? What are you trying to do, have them evolve?

Sea Monkey is really Brine Shrimp.
-
Saw,
Sea Monkey is a really really dumb name for what we call here artemias.
One issue of "Pif Gadget" was sold with a small bag of dried eggs, the following with a bag of food. I was 10-11 years old back then. Ahhh the memories.
Mine never hatched. Maybe because my mother left 'accidentally' fall a few drops of soap in the bowl...
So when I saw the 'Sea Monkeys' 1 year ago in a toy store, I had to buy them...officially for the kids. It allowed me to pass over a particularly stressful event of my childhood ;) :lol
-
LOL, yes.. I think i remember that pif gadget issue, I was a fan myself :D
Coolest EVAR was the sun-barbecue-device. Ate semi-raw saussages for a couple of days.

Brine shrimp sold as "pets".
I used to buy brine shrimp eggs, add some seasalts, and feed em' to my saltwater fish.
You can buy a little bottle of the eggs for about $5,and raise tens of thousands of them.
-
This one's still alive and well on That 70s Show...

ROFLMAO this is classic :rofl
Fortunately I missed this one!

Are they still pulling that Sea Monkey scam? Do they still have that cute little cartoon seahorse family on the package? That's about as blatant a case of false advertising there is.

Pense aussi aux oeufs dur cubiques ... quelle trouvaille !

Did anyone see the South PArk episode when Cartmen put semen in with the seamen (priceless). Him sampling it at the sperm bank was too damn funny.
