Odd, I just read this story (http://www.thestate.com/mld/thestate/10255383.htm) that said they wanted Jim Hodges. But there's a lot of names floating about.

Hodges: Contacted to be Democratic chairman

BRUCE SMITH

Associated Press

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Former Gov. Jim Hodges has been contacted in recent weeks about seeking the Democratic national chairmanship and says he is considering the possibility.

Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack has told Democratic leaders he may seek the position and former Democratic presidential hopeful Howard Dean has already been seeking support among the committee.

Other names mentioned include, among others, Harold Ickes, adviser to former President Clinton; former Gov. Roy Barnes of Georgia; former Housing Secretary Henry Cisneros; Simon Rosenberg, founder and president of the centrist New Democrat Network; Gov. Mark Warner of Virginia; and California party chairman Art Torres.

The fact that so many names have been floated for the chairman's job "reflects the recognition there needs to be major changes in the leadership," Hodges said.

"There are many people who continue to be in leadership positions election after election" although the party has fared poorly, he said. "In the real world you get fired for that."

As for the chairmanship, "it's not something that I had given a ton of thought to," Hodges said. "I'm flattered by the interest and I think I know what needs to be done."

I heard Hodges didn't want it.  Surely they can find someone better that ole Howard.  They can't be THAT stupid.  Not even democrats!

I bet its Hillary.   (actually that would be a strangely good idea.)

I might have gotten Vilsack and Hodges confused.

But no, you should pick Dean.  Really.

What it really boils down to is how many americans hate the concept of god versus how many embrace it.

Fortunately, in nov 2004 the difference was about 3.5 million.

If recent history is any indication, more people will embrace the love of god then will reject it, in america, in the months and years ahead.

No rpm...what I think is that alot of democrats that believe in god are leaving the democratic platform.

Believe it or not (no pun intended), but a belief in Christ does not automatically mean you are the moral equivalent of a moron...which seems to be the primary belief system of the modern day liberal socialist democrats.....which seems to be: anyone who believes in God, and by proxy Christ......is the moral equivalent of a moron.
