A couple of new unbelievable Silent Hunter III  screenshots.

Flyin and dying will be sublimented by looking through a periscope..

..until I have a few hundred hours in it and park it.

..and continue flyin and dyin.

Flyin and dyin just doesn't get old :)

imagine the concept of what could be made possible over time in any online combat sim.
 those screenies look spectacular.

 is this game online or just AI?

thats just amazing.

I hate to compare AH to other games and I guess I'm not in a way here... But can you imagine if we had those sort of things in AH. Just saying, it would sure be fun. I feel like if i play another game im "cheating" on my one true love for on lines sims.. So i wont play it unless its AH.

But again...Looking at those pics... Damn...

It definetly looks very Direct X 7-ish....maybe a cheesey 8...but the graphics are nothing to write home about.  Been forever since a good sub sim came out.....since what 1994 or something :rofl

Graphics arnt the #1 thing in a game, but they sure can help.  I get a little concerned when a company released screenshots that dont even have antialiasing turned on...hmmm

If you think the graphics of SH3 are not good, then get over to the site and watch the first trailer they made.  It is nothing other than unbelievable as far as graphics go.

I however will not buy it when it comes out in Feb. because I do not want to command ONLY German Subs.  I like commanding German subs, but I also want to command US P-type and S-Type subs.

What is the gameplay supposed to be like?  I mean are you graded in the amount of tonnage you sink?  You have to go on missions?  Is there some AI chasing you?  For some reason it seems like it would be shooting fish in a barrel if you are just shutting down transport lanes, but then again, I could see how they could make it ridiculous by making an AI that is just insane...

Download the trailers.

It looks to be a step above II in alot of ways. Time will tell. I enjoyed the hell out of II but there's only so many times you can play a boxed game ;)

The Wolfpack ?? Got close but never jumped in. Heard alot of connect issues.

Subsim has a review of the III beta. It does sound interesting.

I enrolled in the WPL, but never played online with them.

I played online after the UBI Patches were released. Like I said, It was fun when you could stay connected.

I still find excitement in IL2: FB

Hunting in Subs may bring a nice change of pace, but then again traviling at over 400 KM an hour in this baby to shoot down B-17s NEVER gets old!
