DALLAS (Reuters) - A U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter with seven people aboard apparently clipped TV tower guide wires and crashed in foggy weather in central Texas on Monday, witnesses and military officials said.
Witnesses at the crash site south of Waco told local broadcasters they saw four bodies amid the wreckage. The military would not comment about injuries or fatalities.
"Seven military personnel were aboard the helicopter. Information about their condition will be released when it is available," officials at Fort Hood, where the helicopter was based, said in a statement.
The helicopter, from the Army's 4th Infantry Division, was headed to Texarkana, Texas, officials said.
