Title: Home insulation question...
Post by: rabbidrabbit on November 29, 2004, 02:18:49 PM
OK,

still working on a room remodel plan and I have a question regarding insulating a trussed ceiling.  The trusses are 2x4 16" on center.  What I was planning to do was toss up some r-30 bats but I'm wondering if aluminum barriers are what they claim to be.  Are these worth tossing up?  Here is a ebay link to one dealer..

This stuff worth the time/money?

You sure you want a vapor barrier in the ceiling?  I thought that stuff was for floors and basements, but I'm not an expert.

My attic had about 2 ft of blown insulation piled up and although it was a tad untidy, it worked well enough and due to immediate placement of poison after the build, it didn't even get rat infested.
