I've been playing C.O.D. online for a while and it's a blast. Anyone else try it?
:aok

Im a CoD Player , hated the bunny hops when it first came out , but thier patch fixed it .
Now I run trying to be smart and looking around corners but what I hate is that their is no structure to it , everyone running in circles shooting at everything that moves , and getting the Head shot on you all the time while you fill the air with lead and hit nothing :aok
Other than that Its a good game

Member of the 3rd Infantry Division, a realism squad, in CoD:UO. Damn it's a lot of fun.
-
Love CoD but have not tried it online yet, ill have to look into it if its as good as you guys seem to say.
-
Dont get your hopes up too high RTStuka. Its an increible game offline. But once you get online the realism seems to escape the game. It is fun online. But mostly its hackers and suicide dweebs.
-
I agree that online has it's typical arses, but there's a lot of servers online that have made custom maps.
Try the amusement park map by the "FBI" clan. It's a lot of fun.
The third version just came out, but it's only available in X-box I think, not PC.
;)

How realistic is it? If I light a guy up with a tommy gun at 5 feet, is he A.) gonna do a funky dance and die or B.) crouch over each time he gets hit, then after taking half a mag, plug me once and send me to the tower?

It's realistic and the graphics are good. I love sneaking around with my sniper rifle picking enemies off at great distances. The scope even moves around a little to simulate your breathing. You can even hear yourself breathing heavily when you've been running. You can also even set up two gernades with a trip wire and leave them behind for some unsuspecting victim. All in all a real fun game. After you've been killed, you spawn almost immediately and are back in the fight, unlike a flight sim where you have to take off and fly for five minutes. You also gain rank which gives you more ammo, more guns, etc. Give it a try. I think you'll like it.

I think we've mixed the new COD with the old.

The maps are uninspiring and the gameplay lack-lustre.
Red Orchestra is far better and more realistic.
-
More realistic, yes. Better? No.

It does get alittle old quick, but it's enjoyable in short bursts

If you mean the United Offensive Expansion for Call of Duty. Its a good buy for game play. I enjoyed it. I wanna say it has 12 additional missions in it so like all expansions nowadays its a shorter experience.

Thank you!
Got both for 40€ in a pack during lunchtime, will report when I'm finished :D

COD is ok....it's very gamey and the player animations are ridiculously fast.
The best realty based FPS is America's Army imho....their website describes the future of the game via Dev's comments. Very realistic gameplay and is based on the actual Army/SF's doctrines.
BTW...it's a free download and free play....look us up....=WARDOGS= is our squad and we run our own TS Server.

Don't know about PS2, but the PC version limit I think is 60 players.
The latest version, Finest Hour, just came out, but only in PS2 & Xbox. Kind of strange that the first two were available in PC, but not this one.
