Title: Arizona, wussy coldness
Post by: NUKE on November 30, 2004, 12:07:25 AM
It's supposed to be below freezing tonight and my heater is plumb broke.....as I found out today while trying to get it going.

Oh well..... I kinda like it. At least it's a dry cold.

Are you gonna take me home tonight ?
Ah down beside that red firelight
Are you gonna let it all hang out ?
Fat bottomed girls
You make the rockin' world go round

Hey I was just a skinny lad
Never knew no good from bad
But I knew life before I left my nursery - huh
Left alone with big fat Fanny
She was such a naughty nanny
Heap big woman you made a bad boy out of me
Hey hey!
Wooh

I've been singing with my band
Across the wire across the land
I seen every blue eyed floozy on the way, hey
But their beauty and their style
Went kind of smooth after a while
Take me to them dirty ladies everytime

C'mon
Oh won't you take me home tonight ?
Oh down beside your red firelight
Oh and you give it all you got
Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round
Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round

Hey listen here
Now I got mortgages on homes
I got stiffness in ma' bones
Ain't no beauty Queens in this locality (I tell you)
Oh but I still get my pleasure
Still get my greatest treasure
Heap big woman you gonna make a big man out of me

Now get this
Oh (I know) you gonna take me home tonight (please)
Oh down beside that red firelight
Are you gonna let it all hang out ?
Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round yeah
Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round

Get on your bikes and ride
Ooh yeah oh yeah them fat bottomed girls
Fat bottomed girls
Yeah yeah yeah
Alright, ride 'em, c'mon
Fat bottomed girls - yes yes

sure the house gets heated, but if it stopped being heated, the house would first retain most of the heat, second, being indoors outside mouisture and wind wouldent be a factor, so really a normal blanked would be sufficient...hell even outdoors ive spent about 8 hours (track meet, grade 8, my presence on this board indicates the amount of actually excersize i experienced) with normal clothing and a relativly light coat, didnt bother me a bit...

then again, your in arizona...anything below house tempurature must feel colder than hawklores girlfriend (nothing can be colder than a absense) ...:p

Since I have only lived here since last march and I moved from upsate NY my body still has not climatized. Granted below freezing is cold but I love this weather. Everyone at work had a heart attack last friday when I showed up wearing shorts.

People here wear jackets when it gets down to 70.  They keep telling me they're cold.  The coldest I've ever seen it here was 54, and that aint cold.  Heat does crazy things to yer head.

This time of year, I find freezing chilly and I definately wear a coat.  Come the spring though it will be shorts and t-shirt weather.

When I moved out her to AZ last March, we had just had one of the coldest Januarys in record prior to the move. The average daily temperature was 14 degrees and when windchill was factored in the average daily temp was right around -5 to -15. Now normally in those conditions it doesn snow much for a couple reasons. Reason one is that usually lake Ontario and Erie freeze halting the lake effect snow, and Secondly its too damn cold for moisture to form. Well in this case none of that happened so for about a 2 week run during the middle of the month we got hit with about 6-12 inches of snow a night. Sometimes I miss the snow, then I go take a swim in November outdoors and realize I dont miss it so much.

Indeed.  Most Canuckians like to brag about how we survive in this harsh climate, but it's not like we have a choice.  I don't snow board or ski, so I'm pretty sick of the snow, and definately sick of the cold, by mid January.  Perhaps if I lived in the country with more snow to play in with my wife and daughter I might enjoy it more.
