For those of you who were wondering, YES I am a second account. I was created as a prank on GETSOME. It was done in a friendly and fun manner. He was fully aware of the situation in that I was a second account but he did not know my true identity until right before he retired. I private text messaged him as GOTSOME when I first appeared and asked him if it was ok to play under the name. If my callsign bothered him in any way or he wanted me to stop I would have ended it but he was quite up to the challenge. It eventually turned into a game where every time GETSOME killed me I would give him a clue as to who I really was. I made a pact with myself that I would carry out the account for at least one month and that time is now over. GETSOME has sadly left the game therefore GOTSOME has no reason to exist.
If I have offended any Knights by doing this I apologize. It was never my intention. I tip my hat to HC43S and the Dirty 30 for putting up with me all the time. Over the past year I learned the bulk of my GV fighting skills from them. IMO they are one of the best if not the best overall GV Squad in the game. I also would like to apologize to my squad, the Grave Diggers, as this little escapade took me away from them. They have been great and I am looking forward to even better years ahead.
Interesting that in my pilgrimage through the Bishop Empire and the Rook Regime I fought along side players who were sworn enemies of mine. I have always been a Knight and sadly I have to admit now that most (got to leave margin for error) enemy players get labeled unfairly. During the past month I have come to admire and respect a great many of my adversaries - 3High, Dr7, GHI, Rollo, Zanth, SECracka, Sundownr, Wonder, Dragoon, TalonX, RPDBOB, and yes, the rest of the SHIZNOTs (I even learned what that means). It’s kind of nice to put a voice at least to a callsign finally. It was definitely a growing experience to see the game from a different side. I have to honestly say that each country has its own style which is probably greatly affected by squad migration.
Bishops and Rooks it was a pleasure. Knights – thanks for putting up with my antics especially you BABA. What else can I say, I play to for fun. Once again my apologies.

freckin pathetic.

You ever see those comedians on stage who are just really struggling to get the crowd interested and cant seem to do it? And then they get desperate and tell some really stupid, corny joke and cant believe no one laughs. And then they try to EXPLAIN the joke, like the audience didnt get it, and that by explaining it somehow it will get funny? Guess what. They got it. It wasnt funny. Explaining it doesnt make a broke joke work. It just shows how pathetic the comedian is that he even thinks he has to explain it.
Sometimes its just better to walk off the stage, say thank you, and QUIT. Then we dont have to ponder the worthlessness of your existence that you have to go to such lengths to amuse yourself.

Your amusing SA2. :)

Man, you all were harsh on GOTSOME! It is actually nice to see someone break the usual mold of "(insert country name) are a bunch of whining, vulching (insert insults) dweebs!"
GOTSOME, it was fun to see you in Rookdom.
Just got a question for you...
What would be your summary of playing style by country?

i think its well funny, why does it matter?
he's done no harm to anyone.
you guys should definitely lighten up.
way better than all the morons who secretly vulch second accounts.
EN4CER, nice work getting everyone angry at nothing :)

Oh phooey. Laugh and stop being so sensetive. I think EN4CER can take some ribbing. If he cant, he shouldnt have fessed up. I just thought it was hilarious it took this to make the guy realize AH doesnt sort people into different countrys based on some esoteric personality formula. Some people take the whole "country" thing too seriously. Some people take THEMSELVES too seriously. Whether you count it a game or a sim, its ARTIFICIAL.
Did he bother me? No. Did he hurt me? No. Did he interfere in any way with me or the way I play my game? No. What he did was confess to performing a goofy prank that had no real purpose, and apparently wasnt really funny to anyone outside a small circle. Which is fine, except for the fact that he talked like it was going to be this huge issue to people, when in fact we could have cared less. We arent laughing at what he did, we are laughing at the fact that he thought it was important enough to the rest of the world to apologize for it. Not saying anyting bad about the guy personally, as I dont know him. If me laughing at him for this is mean, call me Ogre. :D

My time playing for the Bishops and Rooks was limited so therefore so is my assessment. All three countries have their myriad players which can be put into several categories. I also realize that squads migrate from country to country thus affecting a countries performance factor. That aside IMHO.
The BISHOPS seemed to me to be all business. The times I played with them they were extremely focused on taking bases. They where well organized at times and would capture a base; take another, move on and take another. When they got their rhythm going they were like a well oiled machine. No vulching, no camping, just pure country loyalty and its mission to succeed.
The ROOKS are pretty similar to the Knights (Same as Knights – 30 players over 1 field vulching and porking with no goon - hehe). The overall attitude is a little more relaxed then the Bishops and when bases start to get overrun then its time to get serious. I was extremely impressed on that one Friday night when there was no FSO and the Rooks organized their entire country primarily against the Knights. The end result of the operation was capturing a good chunk of Knight territory. I never thought that many countrymen could be motivated at one time but they did it. You know how it is when you usually have to beg and plea for guys to join a mission. I tip my hat to the Rooks that night. I would love to see the Knights do that some night and be a part of it.

I'm not at liberty to discuss why he left - you can ask him though. It was more for reasons outside the game. Let's just say he's getting some personal issues and priorities in order and I wish him the best. I hope he returns some day and if he does I'm sure he'll come back as Bishop or a Rook and give me paybacks - hehe

It was never my intention but I appreciate the kind words. I lost a lot of sleep over the other comments. hehe - the GP (General Public) has treated me far worse. Still - no grudges held here SA2 and company.

Interesting view....I need a goon or M3 driver please....

I still have to laugh at this one. Dude - my closet is now clean. I wish I could take credit for some of Cavy's comments but I can't cause its not me. He's even a little too harsh for me sometimes, ironic because I'm usually telling him to put his game face on at work. If you don't believe me you can EMail me and I'll provide further proof. In fact how much do you want to bet? You can make it a gentleman's one if you want.

Being a lifetime Bishop myself, I never really realized that the other countries weren't like this.
I really enjoy working in the Bish kingdom and won't be leaving... But considering the way Knits smash us so often I would have had them pegged as the super serious base takers...
Interesting. Thanks En4

When I first started playng with the Knights, the Bish and the Rooks clobbered us day in and out. In the past few months that has changed 180 degrees. I would love to say that we as a country got our act together but I feel our success lately has been attributed to the migration of several squads. I assume things in the MA are cyclical and therefor in another couple of months, those squads will move again thus scrambling the performace factor.

Things used to be cyclical....
Now the migration is more system driven....

hey man you missed some great missions last tour!
we were running B24 and escort missions with 20+ pilots regularly for a few weeks. i think all countries play the same to be honest, I have spent 3 tours rook and a week bish in my 13 months of playing. just depends when you catch them, and how much you personally are prepared to join the spirit of teamwork. alot of others, such as the JBs, and the FreeBird$ put up missions on the hour every hour when they are in the mood.
i agree you can spend certain amounts of time in any country and come away with different opinions about thier gameplay from what ya see. :)

Hehe,
About this traitor business, I understand exactly what Gotsome means, flying with the enemy is really a lesson learned.
I fly as Skeeter0, and I fly for every country at one time or another. I have found jerks and excellent "people" on all sides.
I am flying as a knight right now, but as a bish I particularly enjoyed Rollo and Sundownr. Sundownr spent an hour one night helping me get a mic up and running. Rollo, when he kills me as a Knit, I can just hear that distinctive accent of his saying "190 is dead".
I don't know why people get so upset about switching sides. This is a game, and I enjoy the people more than the "objective". If I'm playing on the bish team and they go into "quit mode", where I fly a goon 2 grids to a target to find EVERYBODY left, I may switch sides and find the JB's, or Hooker, or another group of regular knits who are fun to fly with.
I guess I pick my side based on WHO is flying more than anything else.
One rule tho, if I switch sides in mid-stream, I NEVER fight in the same place on the map that I was just at. That WOULD suck.
I may join a squad someday, if so I would remain "loyal", but right now I just enjoy flying with friends I have never met.

You could always just fly for a squad that flys for them all. There's quite a few out there.

Never thought about that....didn't know they exist. Thanks.
