Is it just me, or is the Ki84 really well armored? It feels more like shooting down aircraft in Il2 than in AH2, it seems as though you really need to pound one area of the aircraft alot more than the rest of the aircraft in AH.
Are they changing the damage model slightly for all newly introduced aircraft, or am I just going nuts?
(Thanks in advance for not flaming.)

Actually US force reported Ki-84 is well armored in Japanese fighters.
BTW I don't think it has titanium armor in Aces High.

Another point might be that it is really really difficult to get a good, consecutive shot into a Ki84 once it starts maneuvering.
Had a quick flight today with the Ki-84, and met a Seafire. We went into maneuvering contest and something felt wrong - I was pulling the stick hard, and the plane won't stall..
Then I realized that I left the stall limiter on from testing the 109 turn performances out before. The stall limiter limits the plane to x degrees of AoA before stall - in the MA I believe it is set for 2 degrees.
Well, had no problem beating the Seafire once flaps went into action. This Ki84's as slippery as an eel.

It doesn't feel very tough when I flying it. A bit better than a Spitfire, and bit worse than a Bf109.

It isn't all that tough, in my opinion. Pretty average, nothing like the La-7 or F4F.
