This is a somewhat brief report on my 3rd game, I'm learning from my mistakes!
First off, As in my first two games in Superpower2, I have selected Lebanon as my country And the same events have happened pretty much. Ive never made it passed 2008, I'm always been voted out of office.
2001: Syria launches massive assualt on Israel (This happened in both of previous games) Lebanon signs Important treaties to recieve more Economic Aid. But Fails to secure any Weapons Trade, yet.
2002: The United States and the Island of Cyprus help the Israeli's fend off the Syrian Invader. Lebanon also declares war Syria but does not commit Troops, It aids on the Weapons and Economic Embargo.
2003: Lebanon has stopped most spending, and then Balances the Budget. Lebanon Signs a Weapons Trade with the United Kingdom although Most Military spending still involves the open Market, Two Daphne Class Attack Subs are purchased from Spain as are 5 Komar Class Patrol Craft from Iran.
Syria, is in a state of turmoil, Its miltary is decimated by US and Israeli Warplanes, Peace is declared. But there is No Peace in Syria, Attempts by the US, Japan, India, Cyprus, and Israel, assasinate political leaders, Blow up Terrorist Bombs, and perform epsionage are working well.
Syria Slips into Anarchy.
2005:Lebanon builds its army, At the same time, Russian Su25's are purchased with a new Arms Deal with Russia. Lebanon signs an Alliance with the Island of Cyprus, US and Israeli relations are also boosted but refuse to join the Alliance.
Meanwhile Middle East Relations with Lebanon are great, aside from Syria.
2007:Terrorist Attacks continue in Syria, with more and more countries getting involved. Then, Out of Nowhere, Japan declares war on Syria.
Lebanon jumps feet first into the conflict signing an alliance with Japan, Cyprus follows suit into the Treaty, And Lebanon Invades Syria hours before the first Japanese boots touch Syrian soil. The battle of Damascus begins. Japanese forces mop any remaining resistance in the outer regions of the country, And after 23 days of fighting, Damascus is in Lebanese Hands.
2008: Holding Damascus is easy compared to the occupation the Japanese were leading in the Northern Provinces along the coast of Syria and border of Turkey. Terrorist Attacks continue to kill Japanese soldiers months after peace is declared.
2009: Lebanon annexes Damascus, and its province. Relations with other predominatley Muslim countries remains high, Japan agrees to pay off Lebanon's Foriegn Debt.
Lebanon proposes a treaty for Japan to annex the remaining provinces of Syria. The Treaty passes but Japanese/Mid-East relations crumble.
Then out of nowhere, again, Japan declares war on Yemen! Immediatley the Middle East falls into a Military Alliance, Iraq, Iran, Suadi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar,Jordan, Even Turkey!declare war on Japan.
As we speak, Japanese Naval Vessels are leaving Syrian ports for Yemen. Troops are prepating for the Initial Invasion, which will happen within the hour/s. Japanese and the Turkish Navy have just begun a major Sea Battle in the Eastern Med.
Fortunatley, Lebanon remains out of the Conflict, But this could be WWIII, I'm sure Iraq will invade Syria to Expel Japanese Soldiers, Will I be next or will Iraq allow me to keep my spoils?
The United States will surely get involved, Especially if Iraq invades the Japanese controlled Syria. When and where will Lebanon monopolize on the situation?
Full Metal Jacket Quote:
"Strange Time's we live in Bro's!"
PS, Somewhat Brief, turned into somewhat long, Sorry! ;)

There really not that powerful,And actually there more of a Lebanese Puppet.
Edit:Tronski, Austrailia, in my game, is facing the worst economic depression the country has ever seen. Aid is pouring into the country from all over the globe.

Release of the game was somewhat dissapointing, I had problems installing it, No problem though, Went to the GolemLabs Forums (Don't go to Dreamcatcher) Fixed it right up, they have three patches out, Each one is about 7Mb, IIRC.
It's also a memory hog, I played for about 5 hours the other night, About 4 or 5 years in Slowest Speed. When I exited game I got a low Mem Warning. It's requirements pretty much sums it up. But the patches have fixed everything but the dreaded Trillion Army Bug, I've never had it happen, but a lot of players claim it has. Another Gameplay problem is Aircraft Carriers serve no purpose, but I'm sure they will fix that as well.
Great Sequel though 100x better than the first.
