Wild Brain company turned some heads in Hollywood a couple of months ago after announcing it would begin making animated feature films, inking a distribution and financing deal with Walt Disney Co.'s Miramax Film unit. Pixar has used Disney as its distributor for years, producing a string of successful films such as "Toy Story" and "Finding Nemo," but that agreement has soured and is set to expire in 2006. Wild Brain may be far from matching Pixar's success, but it does say it can produce a same quality product for a cheaper price. The company has already started working on the script of its first feature film, "Opus," which will be adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning comic strip, "Bloom County."

Whooo hoooo, Bloom County Rocked!!!  Long Live Bill the Cat   Ack!
