Yeah Its the thing that looks like an exploder with a 4 foot pick up bed on the back.

Its just an expensive exploder, hope you like it and if so keep it... just imagine little piggies going to the slaughter house if you try and trade it in. :rofl

I'm a Ford fanatic from way back. I drive an Explorer. The Explorer SportTrack just baffles me. It's too small to be usefull as a pickup, and too small to be usefull as an SUV. I guess if you wanted a heavy duty golf cart it kinda fits that bill.

It reminds me of the Chevy Avalanche. That thing needs to be buried under a pile of rocks. Why would you want a pickup with no front on the bed and no rear window or an SUV that  has a leaky rear seat and no covered storage?

Assuming they have the same V6 OHC or SOHC engine, we've had nothing but good service from our '99 Exploder.  110,000 miles and only one "Check engine" light which was an oxygen sensor. Normal wear and tear items like brake replacements, etc.  Change the oil every 3--5,000 miles. Great vehicle IMO.  We pull a 20.5 ft. boat in the summer with it if we're just going to the lake for waterskiing, plenty of power for that, however its a far cry from my 460 cubic inch Ford F250

With those things it's a race between transmission failure and the inevitable rollover.

Interesting fact, did you know that U-Haul will no longer rent you a trailer if your going to pull it with an Exploder? Seems they were part liable in that whole Exploder-Firestone roll over thingy.

Almost every accident I went on with an exploder was a roll over.  Only been on one with these half-breeds and the passenger was partialy ejected and cut in half just above the pelvis....  Not a pretty sight before breakfast.

I have a 2004 Explorer XLT, and take it off road.  It handles better off-road than my 1999 XLT Ranger Off-Road package ever did.   Engines if ragged on, will fail.  Common snese should tell you that.

Once I hit 15,000 miles I will be putting AMSOIL in the 4.0L.  We're buying this after the lease is up.

Oh yeah, to Roll one of these over, some form of Jackazz driving is involved.

LOL Mash aint that the truth.
I am installing a magnaflow cat back system and a volant intake set up this weekend.

I also lowerd it two inches and added a larger sway bar to the rear.
Intalled Rancho rsx9000 shocks and it reallt helped the bouncy ride.

You should get a ram air intake for it.  Check out mine:  http://geocities.com/thewobblepage/

Yeah I thought about that.
I have seen pic's of a guy who made a shacker hood for his.
Not really gonna spend to much time or money on this thing.

Afterall it's just an exploder I mean what the hell are ya gonna do with the thing anyways .
