Title: Battle for Middle Earth or PIRATES!

anyone buy this game? im going to buy a game today eather PIRATES!(  http://www.atari.com/pirates/pirates/home.php?lg=1 )  or Battle for middle Earth (  http://www.eagames.com/official/lordoftherings/thebattleform iddleearth/us/home.jsp ) but im torn?
Does anyone have eather and can give a good review?

Pirates! is actually a very fun and addicting game. If you ever played Pirates! or Pirates! Gold on the old Nintendo and Sega consoles you'll recognize it immediatly. It looks great and plays very well. New features abound without destroying the core of the game.

As for Middle Earth, I couldn't tell you.

Pirates was awesome, even way back in the Amiga 1200 days.

I remember playing pirates back in elementry school on Tandy PC's. Such a great game. Even the Genesis version of Pirates! Gold was amazing. I'd get that over a LOTR game anyday.

If you want to win alot of battles: Fencing
If you want to win the game: Wit & Charm!

LOVED Pirates back in the days. Could sit months with that game...

It was along time ago tough.

LOTR looks nice, but also if you take a look at the screenshots, it looks very linear... i wonder what the "Re-playbility" value is on that game...

Or maybe theres a multiplayer mode.

Hard choice.

I would go for Pirates. But that is mainly due to nostalgia...

I have Pirates... it is a lot of fun like the old game.  Have been playing it nonstop since the day it arrived, and I love it.  The dancing part is stupid, but necessary to get more quests.  

My friend has the "other" game and he was eyeing my copy of Pirates so much that I went out and bought him a copy and said Merry Christmas.

My recommendation.  Pirates.

Yeah Pirates! is nice, just like it was in Amiga, but it gets boring pretty fast.

i ended up getting Pirates!   ive only played a few hours of it but its very fun.
The dancing is very gay but  its good practice for me to dace with the ugly chicks  so i can win the hearts of the hotties  :P

Whats the best setting to play on?  I read that the difficulty settings affect the wind??

HOLY CRAP!! You just made my Holiday Season with this posting! I was a PIRATES! junkie in high school. King's Advisor a hundred times over. Never got bored with it (ok, so I was stoned half the time, still it's a good game!). I must get this new version. Thanks again!
