Hi All, just started as a paying customer last night. Flew for a bit in the BEta, and flew AWIII for about 4 years? (why is it I cant remember that stuff?!)
At anyrate, Ive been flying the C 205, the FW 190 A8 and the Nik2 for the 2 week trial period.
THe Nik is a great plane, and I get plenty of kills in it, but it holds no facination for me and I would like to move on to something else.
My absolute favorite planes of all time are the: <insert drumroll here>
FW190A8
P47 (razorback)
These happen to be rather difficult to fly when compared to uber planes like the Nik2. No biggy tho, I like a challenge and I know people are successful at using them.
Are there any trainers that would be interested in instructing me on the finer nuances of these two great planes.
I dont mind busting through furballs at 300mph blowing people up, but there's no finesse in that, finesse is what Id like to learn.
Thanks Guys

As it happens, there are quite a few trainers that are P47 pilots. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I'll drop you an email from home tonight, and if possible we'll hook up on the weekend for some training.
BTW, when 1.07 comes out we are getting a razorback. http://www.dogfighter.com/briefs/show.php3?brief=987270044 (http://www.dogfighter.com/briefs/show.php3?brief=987270044) Gabby's to be exact. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
The P47 in particular is a challenging and difficult bird to fly in a late war arena where the fights are at lower than optimum altitudes for the Jug. However, many folks do very well in the Jug by flying her properly and using her strengths to best advantage. It's my favourite. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Heya Lephturn, didnt hear from you last weekend. Maybe this comming? Or I can be available at night durring the week.
In the meantime do you or anyone else have some good films of P47 action that could illustrate flying styles or tactics? Those are REALLY helpful
Thanks in advance

Just wanted to drop a line in here and publicly thank Lephturn. Trained with him last night and it was an absolutely awesome experience.
Anyone on the fence about grabbing a trainer, do so immediately. Learned more in 1/2 hour than I did in the 3 weeks previous
Thanks Lephturn

If I can help you practice your skills by working with another P-47 driver I'll be glad to. I will be checking off and on in the training arena this weekend.
