This is the most amazing aerobatic display I've ever seen (http://www.trdparts.com/Eve/alan_vegasfunflydemo_2004.wmv)

I didn't believe this could really be done at first. I thought it was CGI.

WOW!

Common Sense said "No Way", but after watching it several times I guess He's not violating any known laws of physics :)

You gotta wonder, how many did he crash before he got that good?

No idea. Probably alot, and crashing those gets pricey :)

I'm still blown away by it, had to show everybody at work. I haven't seen a display of skill like that since I got to see the Toyota pilot hover a prop plane 150' over the runway @ Wings Over Houston.

I don't know what was so special about it ... it's just an RC Nikki. Pilot's no noob though.

The upside-down hover where he touches the rotor mast to the ground is pretty neat. I don't follow aerobatics (or r/c anything for that matter except r/c drifting), and haven't seen anything like that before. I liked it :)

Tried RC planes once.
spent $800.00 and a month putting the thing together.

Flight lasted all of 20 seconds.
Took a shovel to dig the engine out of the ground .

Actually the term Niki was used in AirWarrior long before WarBirds or Aces High came along :)

Have a friend that is really into the rc copter thing and he can do alot of that stuff.  He still flys the first copter he built, he learned how to fly by using a simulator on his puter that lets him hook his rc controller to his puter through a usb port and fly a virtual rc copter, with all the action of the real thing.  Tried it a few times, much harder than rc planes, have to keep track of three things at once.
