Are the views in track IR with the newest patch tied into the views that I have mapped for a particular plane? They seem to jump arround a little as they transition to a different direction. IE as I look front right my view moves forward to look over the wing more. As I look rear right it moves out to check my 6 more.
-
I think as you scan around, trackir will use whatever view you have saved for that plane for that particular view.
I have the same issue. If you turn trackir off and manually adjust a particular view with your hat and save it with F10 key then turn trackir back on, you'll see that when you get to that view, the trackir will jump into the view setting you just saved.
I was wondering if the default views were smoother, anyone know?
-
is there a key stroke to return to default?
-
not that I know of
but I did confirm that the custom view settings are what causes it
I d/l AH and installed in another directory, fired it up and without changing any views, tried out my trackir2
It worked smooth as silk. You will need to custom view ur six view and the right rear and left rear views as the default has you pushed up against the back of the seat and you cannot see behind.
The view file for the plane is it's .hps file.
The default is all zeroes. Here is one with only my dead 6 view panned back to see around seat:

The 'home' key will get your view back to the default setting. Remember to save that default view with 'F10' or it will keep your adjusted view.

Thanks alot both of you.
Great implementation by HT though. To give us the choice on each location.
Thanks again.

If you are useing the new TrickIR Vector Enhancement it no longer takes your 6 view from the view file. You have to actually make the body and head motions to see back around your head rest. Or with a plane like the P47D-11 down and back along the side of the razor back. Not a very clear view. Guess thats why they retrofitted rear view mirrors on the canopy of many planes.
At the moment it is a bit disconcerting with the contortions. But it's realistic. It adds a time delay in your dogfight because you are trying to see around and back to check 6.
