Post by: rabbidrabbit on December 16, 2004, 04:22:51 PM
Say I have some .avi's or .wmv's to link together whats a handy tool for doing so?  Also, is there a way to convert avi or wmv to a dvd format?

Recently reviewed Adobe Premiere Elements. Not bad and not too user-unfriendly :)

I used a version of Ulead a couple years ago, its interface was quirky, switched to Windows Movie Maker 2.0. It is not without its faults either, has a tendency to lock up when opening an existing project file if you try editting picture locations.

I'm still using WMM 2.0 and also looking for better software.

The BEST software that I've used to date to convert AVIs to anything other than AVIs is Win-Avi Converter.

It's pretty good software and even has burning tools on it as well.

It can make DVD, VCD, SVCD, MDVD from just about any multimedia file extension as long as you have the codecs installed.

Everything else That I've tried does not convert AVIs properly if at all.
