SAN ANTONIO- In San Antonio, Texas, the city council is requiring exotic dancers to be licensed -- and to wear a license badge, even when they're wearing little else.
An attorney for several strip clubs says he'll challenge that requirement in court.
The amendment that was approved early today to the city's "human display" law requires adult entertainment businesses to pay 375 dollars a year for an exotic dancing permit. Club managers would pay 100 dollars a year for permits, while dancers would pay 50 dollars a year.
Dancers who violate city standards could lose their licenses. Dancers will be required to wear the permit to make it easier for police to identify violators.
The city ordinance bans nude dancing, and requires customers to stay three feet from their customers.

Nuts!

What a Horrid place!!! Does the Donkey have to wear it too?
:D

No nude dancing, and the girlies have to wear an ID badge while being at least three feet away from you at all times? You might as well just go to McDonalds...at least you'll get a Big Mac out of the deal.

That's nothing new. Dancers here in Houston have to wear a small, plastic badge. They usually attach it to their shoe. I know they're required to at "butt nekkids", and I'm pretty sure they do at a normal topless bar also. Either way, they already legislated them to death in this town, just like they did in Tampa, FL.

I think the city just wants so of the good dough strip joints make. They should take up the profession themselves if they need money so bad.

Most politicians are potatos already; maybe we should "badge" them too.

Democrats and republicans at work, using our tax dollars to protect us from .. what are they protecting us from?
So if I'm nude in public can I get a ticket for impersonating an exotic dancer ?
And now that they are licensed profesionals, can I sue for malpractice if I don't pop a boner ?
