On my last like 10 bombingruns I have noticed that the drones will not land on the runway like they used to. I am on a perfect approach, drones in trail. As soon as I drop my gear, they do also, but level off and keep on flying. As I slow to a stop on the runway I can see them fly on in the distance, eventually exploding...
happens with Lancs and JU88s, not tried other bombers so far.

Same. Happened to me in B24s and Lancs, I think ki67s too.

don't drop your gear until you're down to 100-150ft and almost to the runway

Simular thing happen to me twice in Lancs yesterday. Only difference is instead of flying strait and level, they were flying with their wings rolled right 45 degrees. (other than the 45 degree roll, they flew straigt and and const alt and heading till they went 'poof'
Very Odd....
I'll see if I can get a screen shot.
For some good news, Drones seem to form up fairly well for me on take off.
For some more bad news, Seems the damage transfer bug is still in effect when you bail from lead bomber to drone. (My Main bomber lost both wings and turned into lawn dart, bailed to drone and it turned into a wingless lawn dart, ditto for third drone...)

It's happened to me in B24s and B17s. I also reported it last week but no response yet from HTC, they might have it in their list of bugs but is not a priority yet.
In the meantime what I do is land the lead bomber, stop it on runway and go to 'Tower' before the drones explode. It's a workaround until it gets fixed.
Some pilots have suggested to drop the gear at or above 250ft, or use partial flaps, etc. But so far whatever I do the drones seem to 'disengage' from the lead plane on landing.

To stop this happening -
Do NOT drop more than 2 notches of flaps when landing.

That happens to me every time I bail from a bomber, too. Damage from first plane transfers into the others when you jump into them.

This is a screenshot I took just after landing my B24s during squad night last night (or actually in the 'wee small hours' this morning for me!) Didn't seem to be any problem You can just see the drones in the background.... :)
