On November 30, as President Bush visited Canada to meet with Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin in an effort to improve the two countries' strained relations, right-wing pundit Ann Coulter and CNN Crossfire co-host Tucker Carlson ridiculed the United States' northern neighbor. On FOX News Channel's Hannity & Colmes, Coulter said that Canadians "better hope the United States doesn't roll over one night and crush them. They are lucky we allow them to exist on the same continent." On CNN's Wolf Blitzer Reports, Carlson stated: "Without the U.S., Canada is essentially Honduras, but colder and much less interesting"; he went on to say that instead of following politics, "the average Canadian is busy dogsledding." And on Crossfire, Carlson referred to the "limpid, flaccid nature of Canadian society."(...)
Take a look at the whole article:

And we all know how this kind of thoughts ends in a few years right?

Don't go there......both the left and the right both have their "extremests" I'm sure I can find alot more archaec (SP) and offensive comments from the left than I will ever find on the right.
PS:
I don't agree with what she said but hey......she has the right doncha know eh.

Good lord, take a joke.
It's blunt, satirical, and not that far off. I love Canada, but it's largely inconsequential in most instances of world matters.
By the same token, I appreciate whatever support they muster.
I hope they don't invade. :)

Well here's the funny part though....
I can think of bad things every country in the world has done.
But not Canada.

Really? Wasn't all that Indian land at one time?

If you think that's how we view our ally Canada you should read how we feel about France.
I'm all for taking a welding torch to that statue you gave us and dropping the pieces over Paris from a C5.

Canada and our success are the bane of nut jobs like Coultier. I would be more supprised if she liked us.
While we exist very much in the shadow of the US politically, economically and militarily, equating us to Honduras really shows how little these people understand Canada, Honduras or the world at all.
What would we be like without the US? Alot different thats for sure. Right now we can have a huge and healthy export trade without having a huge shipping capability to support it. Obviosly if the US ceased to exist or had never existed we would have to become a maritime nation. That simple change would be huge. We would either be a much greater nation then we are..or be much less. We could not be as we are without the US..thats for sure.

I like Canada and I like most Canadians. We are essentially extremely lucky to have them as our northern neighbor.

Heh ... wasn't the entire continent including the US? I got a laugh out of that article. I don't take offence to it.

Canada treated and in some cases still treat our natives like ****ing garbate. I think it's our biggest sin as nation.
And who the hell cares what Coulter thinks?
-
I think we(USA) and Canada are mutually fortunate to have each other as neighbors. Sure I wish Canada was more on board with the war on terror, and I wish they had tighter borders. Overall though, I think Canada is a great neighbor.

Canada has gone thru enough this year with the loss of the NHL season..
I wouldn't piss them off in their current state or they may go ape ****............
Sabre rattling them imo is a bad idea...

That Tucker character is annoying.. send him to Canada.

I love Canadians. I speak Canadian, though, so that is a huge help...
I even studied French (to my shame and future horror) so I can quasi-understand the morons from Quebec....
Canadian came easily to me. I was born and raised in the US, so American is my native tongue. Fortunately, my particular dialect makes learning Canadian easy.
Eh?
and God bless.

Well from about 1521 until 1810 it was under the rule of Spain, in 1810 the fought for and won thier independence from Spain. Of course at that time it was known as "La Nueva Espaņa" (New Spain).
Prior to the Spanish Conquest the area was ruled by Aztecs ...
In 1848 they lost Texas and portions of California
But I guess to answer your question I would say Yes...

I like em fine but they shouldn't be allowed to come here except to buy gas and ciggs and shop for real food...
They are worthless to us... they can't do landscaping or pick fruit in the sun.
They can stay home in the cold and put together various auto parts for us.
