Title: Need help determining RL armor penetration values
Post by: Urchin on December 20, 2004, 10:21:24 PM
Is it possible to extrapolate armor penetration for a particular gun?

I found some data for the gun I think is on our T-34, the 76.2 mm F-34 L/41.2, but it doesn't have any armor penetration for point blank range.

It says the following :

With the BR-350A APHE round (weight 6.3 Kg, MV 662 M/sec) it could get through 69 mm of armor at 500 yards, and 61 mm at 1000 yards.

I'm pretty sure this is the round we've got for the T-34 AP round.

What I'd like to know is what kind of armor penetration could this round get at 100 yards and at point-blank (I'm talking like 5 yards).

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

If you can find the muzzle velocity, velocity at 500 yards and 1000 yards,  it would be an easy extrapolation.
