how is the Flight Model of this game? would you rate it very accurate.. or somewhat accurate where some planes are correct and some are not.. or totaly arcade? right now I play Forgotten Battles, but have ran out of forgivness with the off and on FM with that game. ... I was really looking foward to the TA 152 in that game, but its a total piece of trash.. it acts like it only has a 1000 HP in that game.. thanks all :aok

Gwalker, try it out for yourself.
You get 2 weeks free, you don't need to give your credit card info out to try the 2 week free trial.
If you like it, it's $14.95 / month for unlimited time.
If you don't want to pay the $$, you still get the sim, and have access to the H2H (head to head) arena.
Best deal out there, and the flight modeling is, IMHO, far superior to what is available elsewhere.
Give it a whirl.
Although I gotta warn ya, it's like a crack habit, .........
But the first hit is free!
Cheers,
RTR

just come in and try it ...

i've flown 2 online sims and a couple offline sims (not the most experience, but have some at least). the flight modelling here in ah2 is very good, imo. the planes aren't flying around on rails, like in AW. you get a sense of the forces that surround flight:
*lift
*drag - try dropping the dive brakes on a formation of JU88's ... huge drop in airspeed
*torque
*etc.
but, like these guys said, give it a try for yourself. first 2 weeks are free.
good luck & enjoy. :)

Every model in the game is probably the most accurate in FM as you will find anywhere to date......................... ...........
............................. ............................. ......
except the one I happen to be flying at any particular time.
I have a prob with a little wing gnome that I have affectionaly named Skuzzy. No matter what I do or where I fly , it is this little farts fault for all my failures.
I`m sure you will enjoy the game. He will keep me from reaching the true ACE status that I am by jinxing me no matter what I do.
It is a sad, sad price I pay so you may carry on.

Hmm..
If you expect much of the Ta152H-1, then you'd be disappointed. The IL2/FB/AEP/PF Ta152H-1 is vastly superior to the AH2 Ta152H-1.
However, rating the FM overall I'd say the AH2 FM falls under 'very accurate'. Especially after the introduction of AH2, Aces High has lost a lot of the 'fly on rails' feel, and you can really feel the weight and load of the plain in many regards.
Also, another big strength is that AH developers retain a keen sense of balance, and will not 'sway' in favor of certain people or groups easily. I've played IL2/FB for a long time too, and one thing I couldn't stand was the noisy community who disagreed everything about the plane FM, and poor 1C wishy-washy with FM, DM, gun performance, etc etc with every new patch. Boy were there some real 'whiners' in that forums.
Like others recommend, give it a try with the free 2-week trial.

I would say it depends on what you put into the word flight model.
If you define it as the physics model the planes are flown in. Then yeah its very acurate.
If you define it as the characteristical model of how the planes behave (F4Us wild low level stall, La5FNs tendency to snap into a left hand roll, ect) then yeah its very acurate.
If you compare it to the detail level of plane management options of IL-2 then no. But imho that has nothing to do with the flight model. Thats the plane management detail level.
So what I would call AH2 is a very accurate flight model but not as tedious as Il-2 in plane micro management.
As an example you have WEP, you have trims but you dont have fuel mixture management.
But what il-2 has over any sim is vastly supperior views. Views imho is one of the most important things in a "pre-radar" flight sim as views are the most critical aid to your situation awarness.
You have tons of views that you can customize each and everyone of em and save em, per plane.
Most of all you got truely massivly multiplayer with up to 750 online players. The online play as a game experience cant compare to Il-2.

were u actually talking about AH2 here, instead of IL-2? cuz, it sounds like you're talking about AH2.

"As an example you have WEP, you have trims but you dont have fuel mixture management. "
You do have the ability to manage fuel consumption through RPM and manifold adjustment though along with fuel tank usage selection.

IL-2's "engine management" once learned is just more buttons to push.
IMO it does'nt do squat towards that holy grail called "immersion".
In the end, it's just more buttons to push.

That was the first thing I thought when reading over the opening post. If you want to rule from on high in your Ta152, you might want to keep looking. I rarely see it in game, but it was one of my first kills lol.
The modeling of each aircraft is rather impressive. I know that advocates for certain planes/models will dispute the findings (see much of the Ki-84 hullabaloo) but I don't think anyone would contend that HTC doesn't put a lot of effort into getting it right.

hi... good input put like is the Dora one of the fastest planes at mid and low level..... can a 109 F4 outturn a G6 does a p-51 have superier high speed handling then most planes in game.. does p47 have best dive acceleration and speed..... .is there break up speeds for all planes for dive ect ect.... that kind of FM .. like historical FM thanks

hello Gwalker99,
you should try flying the different models offline, then try some H2H gameplay to see how the planes react, before diving into your free 2week trial, since you only get the 2 week trial ONCE! with that said check out AH trainer Soda's plane comparison pages here---> Aces High plane comparisons by Soda (http://www.telusplanet.net/~dsoder/models.htm)
he is still updating the planes for Aces high 2 but lot of good helpful info there on what you will find in AH2, also check out AH trainer xHammerx 's NetAces Website (http://www.netaces.org) it has more tons of helpful info to help you along
good luck, and we look forward to seeing you up in the virtual skies of AH2

Yes F4 out turns G6 and G10, while the G series outclimbs the F4.
Dora is one of the fastest on the deck, together with La7s and Typhoons.
Yes Ponneys have good highspeed handling and yeah Jugs have verygood DIVE acceleration (but ofcourse not level flight accel).
as said http://www.netaces.org covers most planes.
Soda´s evaluations are the pimp.
