Title: Surgery

Got home around 1.

And now my uvula is swollen... :(

I'm worried about that... Almost makes it difficult to breathe, and it feels like theres a huge glob of mucus at the back of your throat you can't get rid of, so now I have to sit up, and breathe through my nose...

I just hope the swelling goes down quick...

Expect that swelling to be there a few days.

It is a normal healthy reaction of your body resulting from bits of you being cut out.

When they extubated me they tore the scabs loose and I nearly drowned in my own blood. I remember waking up from the anesthesia lying face down and my bedsheet was covered in blood. The next day when my Mom took me for a walk around the little West Texas hospital everyone was making a big deal that I was up and on my feet. Finally Mom told me what had happened.:eek:
