Looks like 2 aussies taking down a japanese flag. if u meen the gun than thats an owen sub-Machine gun. looks like a Mk.1 shoots 9mm parabellum.:aok

Yep, an early one too. It has the fins at the chamber end of the barrel, and the early butt-stock. My books say "over 40,000 made.
A well liked gun, a bit heavy at almost 9 1/2lbs.
The cobbers had a fair-dinkum one there, right Bruce?

Indead this is a owen Mark 1/42, Note the colling fins on the barel. Designed by Lt. Evelyn Owen, productionstarted in Newcastle ,New South Wales in November 1940 some 45,000 of all types having been built by sept. 44.
