THE PROBLEM IS FIXED TY ALL FOR THE HELP.....
I have just re-set up my old comp that used to play AHII with no problems except low frame rates. When i run the game now the radio, coffee cup and misc items in the tower and also the cockpit all are white also hangers. I did delete video8.cfg and set fps at 45 also tried to lower the texture size fron 512 to 256. I also changed the screen resolution from 1024x768 to 800x600 and 640x480. Theses changes have made no difference. All other graphics seem to be ok...
The system as follows:
amd thunderbird 1.3 gig cpu
nvidia FX5200 128 Vid(ran on new system up untill x-mas day)
512 mem
Current DX9c
..Ty for the help

whats video8.cfg? am i supposed to delete it?
-
no.... It's a shortcut to changing your video setting..... If you del it AH will ask you again when you run it ..... Much like the first time you ran AH.....

Video card driver up to date?
Latest Nvidia driver is 66.98 I believe.
Run DXdiag.exe and see what your driver version is and if it's old hit the Nvidia website to download and install the latest driver version.

I have the newest drivers all around...MB, vid card....Even tried the older nvidia ones...keep in mind I did run this Comp for AH2 for about 1 year other then low FPS it ran fine Graphicaly...

Your "latest" video driver may be at fault as i have seen reports around of graphics errors when using it.

Usually a sure fix: delete that folder called "cache." The WHOLE folder. ;)
If that doesn't work, I've heard Skuzz raving about how he hates nVidia's choice to replace unknown polys with white blobs...

What 'OS' is the machine running?
Win2k perhaps?
Have seen the crazy polygon prob in w2k when the service packs aren't installed.
