I've upgraded to the 9600 SE (128mb). Using it on a LCD so I only get 1024X768. But been using the latest Omega Drivers over the latest CAT's and I get about 20% better performance/frame rate across the board.

128meg 9800 Pro ATI. Using the latest Cat drivers im getting between 50-85fps easy.

The vid card loves AH. Make sure you have the right MB to show its full potential and tho its not required, have at least 1gig to make the most of the experience.

Thanks for the feedback so far
Where are these omega drivers located?
what if and changes are you making in the control panel to get higher frame rates?
As well what version of Ati Drivers are you using?

The omega drivers are based on the ATI drivers. Check the site out you'll see. This last set is based on the official ATI catalyst 4.12 drivers.

Using the latest Catalyst drivers, I find the default 'Balanced' settings to be satisfactory.  It'll play will full tilt bozo with all the bells and whistles but the transitions are not butter smooth and the icons are hard to read when in rapid motion.  Also, the textures tend to pixellate uncomfortably, although the frame rates are fine.  Get none of this using 'Balanced'.
