Title: B26 Tail Damage
Post by: sourkraut on January 03, 2005, 09:43:12 AM
Here's a interesting photo of a Martin B26B55 with some "minor" tail damage. The caption indicated that all crewman made it home. I believe it was circa 1944. (I forgot to write down).

Interesting photo. Thanks for posting it.

As for the date, it does have full invasion stripes which puts it anywhere from June 6, 1944 until about the middle of July 1944.

Looks like the flak was accurate over Normandy for these guys.
