Post by: rpm on January 04, 2005, 03:34:39 AM: DuBOIS, Pa. - A Burger King customer berated the employees and nearly hit one of them with his truck after the clerk at the drive-thru window told him they were out of french fries, police said.

Gregg Luttman, 22, made an obscene gesture at the drive-thru clerk on New Year's Day, then walked into the restaurant and cursed at the staff, Sandy Township police Sgt. Rod Fairman said.

When he returned to his pickup truck, he saw restaurant workers taking down his license number and put the vehicle in reverse, nearly hitting one of them, Fairman said.

After being stopped on a highway a short distance away, Luttman scuffled with police and kicked out the back window of a police car, Fairman said.

Luttman was charged with assault, reckless endangerment and other offenses. He was freed Monday on $2,500 bail.

I pull into the Buger King drive-thru at about 1:30 in the morning on a Saturday.The guy in the car in front of me is yelling and pointing at the pay window;I don't have any idea what it's about.

He get his food,yells something,and starts to pull out.Here is where it gets fun.When you pull out,there is a curving curb,so you have to make a gentle right or you'll hit it.He didn't,and he did.

He throws the car into reverse,backs up to thw window and starts screaming.One of the kids said something to him that enraged him even more(I'm guessing something along the lines of FU,lol),and he hops out of the car and continues his raging.

He gets even more angry,and reaches in and attempts to grab one of the teenagers.

BIG MISTAKE!!!

After lunging into the window several times,THEY grab HIM,and drag his butt in through the window.At this point,I'm laughing so hard it hurts.I pull up to the window,and see a very cowed tough guy cornered by four very pissed off teenage boys.

The kid hands me my food,and I ask,"what are you gonna do with him?"
The kid says,"Oh,we already called the cops,they're on the way."

And just exactly what is so disrespectable about working at Burger King? Beneath you, O liberal one? Not intellectual enough? Perhaps manual labor is...distasteful?

Any kid who takes a job while in HS or college to earn money gets my respect. They deserve it.

Post by: rpm on January 04, 2005, 08:16:45 PM: I was manager of a liquor store and had a young black male customer tell one of my cashiers to "STFU B*TCH and take my Mfluff'n money!" when she asked for his ID. Now while I did'nt care for the girl to begin with (lazy, late for work, noshows, ect), there was no way I was going to let him talk that way to one of my employees. I made sure he had not paid for his Hennessey, yanked it out of his hands and told him to get out and get out now.

I had a good 40 lbs and 3-4 inches on the guy and can be intimidating when I want to be, but I was also pretty sure he had a gun in his car. Luckily he did'nt come back in the store to settle the score because all I had for a weapon was a 5 cell maglight.
