Rebuilding my system again. Got a new mini server tower with 400 watt power supply, ASUS Kv8 SE mobo and an Athlon64 3400 with 1 gig Ultra PC3200 (400 DDR) memory.
Using a Radeon 9800Pro vid card at 4XAGP now, will be 8XAGP with the new board.
My question is have those of you that have upgraded to an Athlon64 CPU shown a marked increase in FR at all?
Thanks for the help in advance!

If memory serves correct AH is more reliant on your CPU then memory or graphics card even.
so a CPU upgrade will have a much greater effect on game performance then if you upgraded your Ram or video card or even both.
Or at least that is my understanding

I went from an Athlon XP 2200+ to a Athlon 64 3200+. Same amount of RAM, 512 meg, only now it's DDR400. Same vid card, GeForce 4 Ti4200, 128 meg DDR. My system does bog down on occassion in a big furball, but only as far as the low 30's in framerate. My next upgrade should fix that; 450 watt power supply and GeForce 6800 GT.

Yes, I went from an Intel P4 3.06 to an Athlon 64 FX55 with MSI K8t Neo2 motherboard and BFG 6800GT oc 256mb vid card and the system Rocks! However, I notice little performance gain from my P4 and ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128 mb card in Aces High.
All the Best...

XP2800+ to a 754pin64-3000+
minimum frames went from the 20's to the high 30's.
transitional frames considerably smoother (rotating a view, etc.)
cpu temp went from high 50's to the 30's << to me the most important
