Samsung DVD with HD-converter 720p/768/1080i
This $200 POS is useless! It does not have the hi-quality HD signal that i get on HBO-HD and MAX-HD on cable. Watching a DVD movie on my '34 flat tube DTV + samsung HD841 brings back the golden age of VCRs.
Is there something wrong with this hardware or the DVDs?
btw i use a DVI connection

The Problem you run into is that dvds are 480i even if it up converts all it is trying to do is clean up the image, but by doing it automaticly it does not allways work well. dvi is such a crappy standard in home tv use. the hdmi and ancp is a load of crap. if they would have stuck with the computer dvi standard it would have worked out better. componet looks just as good.
