you deleted this skin I made when you deleted the duplicate skin of the aleutian tiger p40E that had two copies.
then the skin was added again with the designation: 23rd FG 16th FS BUT IT IS THE 343FG skin NOT the correct 23rd FG 16th FS skin.
please delete the 23rd FG 16th FS skin and recompile it with the correct p-40E camoflage skin.
the right skin for the 23rd FG 16th FS has a sharks mouth on the nose and a kid on the tail rudder. it has a dark battle damage repainting spot on the fuselage behind the cockpit. the colors are a greyish blue underside. red nose cone and tan and green camoflage upper surface.

There was some trouble in the MA today with skins and such. Maybe your P40 some how got caught up in the problems. Just an inkling though.

I had the same problem when Skuzzy corrected my 52FG P-51B duplicate - my RAF skin disappeared, then it appeared again but it was the duplicate 52FG skin. By the next day it was fixed; not sure how. Skuzzy said try deleting from your cache folder, but I never got a chance to do that before it straightened itself out.

There is an issue when we delete duplicate skins as we have to rearrange the skins to fill the slots. We currently do not overwrite existing cache files of skins.
Remove the cache files of the plane in question from the Aces High 'cache' folder, then when you go back into the game, they will get rebuilt from the resource files which have been downloaded.
Also note, this last batch has two skins which will not update due to them falling into slots which had been used before. This will be corrected this coming Wednesday.

Skuzzy I tried that.
I am certain that 23rd FG 16th FS is accidentally compiled with the wrong p-40E skin.
please fix.
the correct p40e skin should be brown and green with a shark mouth and a figure art on the tail.
this is the skin I always like to use please fix.

Did you remove the resource files or the cache files for the skin?

For me, the correct skin (Fester's) has the text name/description of TrueKill's P40E. TrueKill's actual P40 doesnt seem to be in the game...

Cit and Oct, I just wiped out my skins at home (both the res files and the cache folders for the skins), downloaded and installed the skin pack (made from the release we did this week), and I looked the skin you referenced.
Now I am at home, so I do not have access to the source files, but the skin I loaded has a shark's mouth, the number 38 on the right side of the fuselage, and is brown and green. Does that sound right?
If you want to make really sure you have the right skins downloaded. Do this:
Navigate to the Aces High installation folder.
Then got to the 'skins' folder.
Remove all the p40e resource files (p40e1.res, p40e2.res...). Also remove the "skins.res" file.
Then go to the 'cache' folder and remove all the p40e folders.
You will have to wait for the download online, but then all should be right with the world.
All these gyrations will be removed in the near future.
This all happened due to a duplicate skin in the p40e list being removed, but your skin is still there, just in another slot.

i didnt delete the cache just the res files!
