Just a guess, as there is not quite enought information in your post, but you probably need to update the NVidia video drivers.

Hey Skuzzy I got about the same problem. Built a new box and it had a bad CPU, got a new CPU in it and loaded the game just to see if all was well, and it loaded up and I got on-line fine. XP had been installed on the flaky cpu, so I re-formated, and did a fresh install. New DX 9, newest cat drivers, and game crashes right after I set the video options.

heres the first part of the DXdiag

Think I might have found my problem, I dug around a bit and found one of the multi-media sections didn't load a driver right. Reinstalled sound drivers and deleted video.cfg file, re-booted and game has started.... hope I'm out of the woods!

I love upgrading...really I do !  :D

Ive heard alot of the guys saying they are having trouble with the newest Nvidia drivers, might want to use the 61 drivers instead of the newer 66 drivers.

Tha is quite right.  I would suggest the 61.77 drivers.  They seem pretty stable, particularly for the FX5xxx series of cards.
