Dang, these guys truely are patriots of Saddams regime.
-
what's sad is they learned how to make movies in schools in the Unites States of America.
Bunch o' friggin' hipprocrates.
-
Nice.
I am sure Saddam's reminants and the AQ will bring freedom to the Middle East just as they did under Saddam or Islamic Extremist Government!

Cut their Heads off...... (oh..., and film it so we can show it at Cannes)
-
Very slick, should play great on US University Campuses..
-
Grun
I would bet it is shown on our campuses all the time..

It's chilling. Bottom line tho is that we will, sadly, fail in our mission to bring democracy to Iraq. It's a noble concept, albeit an impossible one.
Sooner or later we'll have to leave Iraq- all that remains to be seen is how many of our very best we're willing to sacrifice, and how many Iraqi citizens will suffer.
You watch- McCain is Pres in 2008 because he'll run on a platform of getting the US out of Iraq. Not sure who the Dem candidate will be, but they're running a woman on the ticket in 2008.
This stuff is all scripted and Solyent Green is people.
And politics suck.
-
Iraqis will have a better life after the US, Britain and our allies snuff out the scum that controlled Iraq. It will be done, no doubt in my mind.
The scum on the video is thanking France and Germany...I wonder why? Is he thanking them for supporting Sadam or is he thanking them for supporting Iraqi freedom? What is he thanking them for? It's a fuggin joke. The video is a joke.

Well, you agree with 98% of our legislators it can be done, but 98% of our legislators have never been part of an occupying Army before. ;)
I hope you're right, but I wouldn't bet a nickel we can establish a democracy in Iraq...let alone bet thousands of lives on it.

I am with Airhead on this.
I think it could be won, but I do not think it will.
The news media here will strip the people of this country of the will to follow it through.
In the end will we fail the people of Iraq, much like we did the people of south Vietnam.
-
Wolverines!
-
LOL these ultra melons are not worth my time.
What a bunch of clowns.
-
Iraq? Put a fork in it.

no way in hell is America goining to abandon Iraq... no way, unless some ***** democrat gets elected after Bush.
Iraq is a major American statement. No way are we going to fail in Iraq.

I hope you are right, I really do, but I think 4 more years of kids dying over there and the news media making it look like nothing is going right is going to be hard to win with in 2008.
unless the dems **** up again and chose another Kerry type.

Always with the negative waves Moriarty, always with the negative waves. Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
-
Outta curiousity... You guys have heard about Bush's "do not tell me any more bad news about Iraq" policy, right?
Nobody is allowed to brief him on anything negative. Senior folks must be alarmed (as they should be), cuz his staff is starting to leak.
-
Thats from kelly's Heroes?
I wish I felt more positive about it.
-
I'd be interested to see if we actually get a democracy for their election. After all the drum beating, I hope 100% of the Iraqis have a choice and chance to vote. Even if they piss it away and don't.

Our people dying is an emotional thing for me...I hate it and feel deeply for the people who have given their lives in the course of this war. But I also feel that we are doing the right thing.

Sure is.
Google showed me this relable and unbiased site (http://communistsforkerry.com) that laid the facts out about Bush's opponent in the recent election and saved me from voting for the wrong candidate..
-
Unless you are from MA Grun, you don't have to worry about voting for Kerry anymore.
-
"...And to the American soldiers we say, you can also choose to fight tyranny with us. Lay down your weapons, and seek refuge in our mosques, churches and homes. We will protect you. And we will get you out of Iraq , as we have done with a few others before you."
We will *protect* you. And we will get you out of Iraq , as we have done with a few others before you...
Like who... Hassan, Nick Berg?
lol
-
LOL Sheeesh Grun, we're discussing what might happen in the future, not what happened in the past. Like it or not we're in Iraq for better or for worse, and the current administration was elected on the promise of maintaining the status quo...it's what more voters than in previous election voted for.
My take on it is that even if it becomes a Viet Nam style war, and public opinion turns against Iraq, the Republicans can run McCain under the "get US out of Iraq" to counter any Democrat running under the same promise, and win in 2008.
In fact it might even help the Republicans to prolong the Iraq war, as Bush is a lame duck anyway, up until 2008 so McCain can play on his "maverick" image....I'm ashamed to admit that if this scenario plays out I'd still vote for McCain. How jacked up is that?
-
Ummmmm OK.
Does this mean Foxnews, worldnewsdaily, newsmax, and drudge, ect are now ACCEPTABLE news "sources"
I'm on Page 7 of the "Google is your friend" (http://www.google.com/search?q=bush+%22no+bad+news%22) and I'm not seeing ONE reliable source. After about page 4 the stated topic startes to fizzle and it turns into other "like" topics.
Sorry but blogs and Impeach-Bush.com websites don't tell me a lick of real information
-
you got to be a true moron to think someone says..dont tellme bad things
I will thank god when you linguine spinned liberals elect Dean for ur Spokesman..
LOLOLOLOLOLOLO..classic

Oh well, maybe we'll start the draft again....then we'll see whiney posts from Grunherz, Greencloud and Yeager about how the Iraq war is wrong cause they're being drafted to fight it, and they don't have a problem with the Iraquis, and it ain't fair....
Chickenhawks. Nannar nannar, you're lucky I'm out of Crown Royal or I'd post even stupider posts than this one.
Chickenhawks, brack brack brack BRACK! :rofl

This is fake...
But I liked it
-
wel the 1st thing i noticeds about the clip was the narrator spoke perfect queens enlish albeit a forigen student or what not kinda made me fell it wasnt fron the JIHAD guys.
2nd thing was what he said at the the end to the British and american troops about," join our mausk, and our chruches ...etc"
and not the part where he says "up until now the froggies and the krauts" yada yadya yada.
wait a minute they are killing Christians for being christian and Jews for being Jews........they want peace with the world......??????

Snopes is your friend! (http://www.snopes.com/humor/iftrue/saddam.htm)
;)
-
what does snopes say 'bout yassir being a rump ranger?
-
this video is fake.
sounds like the narrator has a better English speaking accent than the guy who owns the shop down my road.
-
What a bunch of ****ing handsomehunk whiners. These people are not from Iraq, they are not resistance fighters.
No person in the world would not accept freedom and choice that was given to them with no real payment from them.
So logically, that leads to the idea that these fighters aren't from Iraq.
-
The video isnt fake, let me dig up some news articles about it.
-
Sometime Airhead comes out with some gems you just cannot argue with.
WTG,
Though I hate to say it, I think the Airhead Prophesy may come to pass.
From my presonal point of view, I was all in favor of the Iraq war, but everything I see in the news each day has worn me down to the point where I just want to say, FUG 'EM.
Let's bring our boys home.
Of course, we cannot do this.
Here's what really cracked me up. I read an article from AP where they interviewed all these people returning to their mssing homes in Fallujah.
These Iraqis were complaining and cursing the US for all the devastation.
Meanwhile, its the insurgents fault. And how may insurgents were turned in by residents?
I understand the duress of the situation these people would be facing, but how the hell can tehy blame us?

Unfortunately, when the U.S. cleaned out the scum, they also cleaned out the control.
I suspect that Iraq will be in a state of civil war for decades.

I would hardly call the loss of a brother/sister/mum/dad, etc 'no real payment'. And there are thousands upon thousands of people in Iraq who have lost a brother/sister/mum/dad, etc.
Hmmmph.

What a handsomehunk thing to say. Just because the guy has good English, he cant be an Iraqi freedom fighter?
The film is aimed at the Western world, as opposed to most of the videos that come from there which are aimed at the Arab world, so of course it is perfectly normal that they will pick a particularly good English speaker in an attempt to get their message across.
Not exactly rocket science to work that one out...
-
we will not fail in Iraq because we can not fail as to fail would be to open the door to events against the western world that would make 9/11 look like a paper cut
to win in Iraq may end up meaning a huge glass parking lot, but we will not fail
-
Nuke Iraq, good plan. Hope you've got a bicycle as oil will be around $300 a barrel.

Yes, this is truelly stupid, I am as puzzeled as everyone else...
Can anyone tell me how such a stupid person as "muckmavv" still knows how to breath?

====
you suspect or you hope? Sometimes I wonder.....
I doubt a civil war will exist at all let alone decades but if one does start it will go beyond the borders of Iraq and I can think of at least 4 nearby countries that are not interested in letting that happen.
-
Many of the scenes in that film are spliced and show the "Highway of Death" from the First Gulf War. Just watch it. It shows Iraqi convoys destroyed by US Airpower in 1991.
BTW to call these guys "Freedom Fighters" is a huge misnomer. They are certainly not fighting for the "freedom" of the average Iraqi.

Sure, but just because its in English doesnt make it any more western targeted than the beheading of Allied citizens. they did those all in their native language.
sometimes you have to think outside the square, although i accept your accusation of my 'handsomehunkedness'.
IMO;
the text was too drawl, with no passion.
there was too many dated clips from previous wars/conflicts.
there was too much cheesy western music.
there was too much propaganda style bullchit, very unlike the insurgent videos ive seen. The Arab nations to me seem more dignified than to use cheap statements like this, usually cutting someones head off on film is more their style.
the clip of the burnt allies soldier looked fake.
why would the guy reading the script have to wear a face mask if he believed in his cause. I think he was a hired actor?
Why would anyone thank France for anything? :p
the...blah..
the ...blah..
once again, this is only my opinion.

Neither am I but if the country with the 2nd largest oil reserves in the world becomes radioactive then it's time to start buying shares in buggy whips.
-
Yet, somehow, after all these deaths and our "Imperialistic" regime, we haven't taken a cent from oil in Iraq, nor sold a cent.
Think about your family. You can easily pick out the handsomehunkes in it. If the handsomehunk goes out and gets himself killed by his own making, would you get mad?
