Title: Thanks Bishops for making the 479th feel welcome.
Post by: Ack-Ack on January 12, 2005, 06:11:14 AM: Just want to say thanks on behalf of the rest of the Raiders for giving us a nice welcome as we visit the wrong side of the tracks this tour.

So far it's been fun flying with people I'm used to fighting.

Well at leas now i have a good reason to do my hunting in bishland.. Perhaps AckAck will pass on the "Dont run type method of dogfighting " :D

You can join us anytime for a hop or two. Even though the 479th was historically a P-38/P-51 fighter group, we don't force our members to fly those planes. A lot of us do however fly the P-38 as our primary ride if that is enough to fit your criteria.

LOL! Don't ya check squad email? It was either Rookies or Bishops and none of us have had our rabies shots up to date so it was decided to go to Bishops for the rest of the tour.

Having a blast too fighting in the VOD.

I will say, I was flying along, spotted an enemy con, started to get into postion for an engagement..................A Bish P-38 came zooming down from above like a raped ape and got the nme with one pass.........I just said to myself, good to NOT be on the recieving end of that encounter for once.

Ground crew already has the Jugs all polished and ready to go. I even let ole Frenchy paint his crims kill on the side of his gabby bird prematurely, hehe. ;)
