WTG Octavius - been waiting for an RAF desert scheme for a while. Great job!
PS: So they used fuselage-style roundels on the upper wing surfaces in the desert? Not the traditional large red within blue circle only?

Hehe, I ran into the same thing with my TBM skin oct. If it works out like mine did, all you need to do is fill the yellow with the blue and it'll be fine.

Ah well. Gotta resubmit now :) I also changed the underside roundels to their correct form. Before I do, are the topwing roundels too small?

The upperwing roundels do look a tad small too me - if memory serves they clearly larger than the the fuselage roundels.
Just checking - underwing roundels are red dot whithin white within blue, with no yellow border, right?
Lookign forward to flying this one!

Awsome skin.
Question though, dont take this as critisism, why so many P40 skins? I mean its a very very cool plane, one of my favo, design wise but its very little used in game...

I think the P-40 has a real mystique thing going. It was there at the beginning of the War and proved to be a rugged and versatile combat plane. A number of nations used the Warhawk in many different theaters, so there were naturally alot of different paint schemes.
It immortalized the shark mouth, too. A few other planes sported them but it just doesn't look at home as on a P-40.

Yeah, what Oboe said. 112 Squadron was the first Allied squadron to feature the shark mouth. It is argued that a Bf110 Staffel had the first during the BoB as well.
As for the number of P40s... I'm lazy. It's easy to blast out skins once the template (rivets and panel lines) are completed. Plus, it's been a favorite of mine since I was a wee lad.
Dont worry, no more P40s for a bit :)

Did you do that from a photo? All the photos I have of 112 Squadron Kittyhawks show the early war fuselage roundels with the larger areas of yellow and white.
If it is from a photo of one with later 42 roundels then the white line on the tail badge is too wide.
To wing roundels look just a tad small.
Far better then anything I can do, but I figure since you posted it you'd want observations :)

They outlined in Yellow in North Africa for some reason. The early USAAF star and circle were often outlined in yellow too.
Photos I've seen seem to show the yellow outline to the underwing roundels on Kittyhawks.

Some of the stuff you mention I've read as being "common," but not 100% certain. Many profiles and pictures also vary; yellow outline, yellow leading edge, etc.

Thank you sir. That explains it October 42 would make it the correct roundel. The change came in August :)
