Even with 1024 textures I have no annoying stutters now in AH. Let me know if it helps you.

I haven't, but this was posted on the thread:
" Keep in my mind that if you use Omega's drivers, he automatically lowers Video card latency to MB latency, thus taking care of the issue."
I use Omega Drivers for my Radeon, it works great. Don't think I'll be messing with it.
-
I use Omega Drivers and just checked.
Vid card latency was still at 248, used the tool to lower it to 64.
Will let yas know if any difference.
-
well? what's taking you so long kev? huh? kev! whatcha doing? hey put that down...

PCI latency... does this have any effect on AGP?
-
ive had stutters for ages
nothing too major ,only every now and then
but often at critical moments
ive changed latency from 248 to 64 i have a geforce 256 card.
i'll tell you results
nice find btw

Yes Dux, from what I've read it is good both for AGP and PCI GPU's.
-
Skuzz, I`d like to have your opinion of this before I give it a whirl please.
-
tryed it, only played about an half an hour, noticed some better difference in ground movement, didnt look so digitized...
ill wait until prime time hours to make my finnal verdict.
i'm not useing omega drivers.

i'd really like to hear what Skuzzy thinks about this

Ive been using a similar proggy like this to lower my latency, and it works 100% for me,zero stutters, been using it for a couple of months now.:D
-
yup works good for me
i was getting stutters for the first 10 minutes of play then they would settle down ,I have been getting this for months
lowering my latency has removed this
Nice one:aok

Yes it does, as the AGP port sits on the PCI bus
Cheers
